My thoughts and prayers are with everyone and their families now...
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

After what we thought was a successful surgery (i.e., nothing detected in lymph nodes pre-op), my father-in-law had his post-op follow-up appointment today. Stage III, it's in his lymph nodes.

    Shit.

what kind of cancer is it?

I´m so sorry to hear that. I´m sending good thoughts and good vibes to you and yours!
Thanks a bunch. I'm gobsmacked. We were just all prepared to hear better news.

Truth be told, I'm sure I'm probably taking it harder than he is. He is an unbelievably tough and constantly cheerful old man.
I'm amazed everyday by the older generations in this country. I hope I handle my business with such dignity when I've grown old. Thoughts are with you and yours.

    ^^^Totally.

And thanks to everyone for the positive vibes toward my family. Much appreciated.

And Rob, I like how you flipped it. I think that's exactly how my father-in-law sees it as well.

    Rectum? Nearly killed 'im.

    Try the veal.

    Rob, huge :plus_one:

And let's continue to keep that sonofabitch away from your ass (or anywhere else, for the matter) for as long as you live (which is probably longer than Ani thinks you will).
