They are doing a Star Wars showing tonight @ a local park on some sort of big screen outdoors. Family is going hopefully I will be done in time to join. Leaving in the AM on travels but there is always time to watch Star Wars for the 5,436th time. Still one of my favorite movies all these years later.
I'm gonna celebrate by watching A New Hope on Rifftrax. It's the first one I'm watching on that format. I plan on seeing the others on Rifftrax before 7 comes out for Xmas.

I'm gonna celebrate by watching A New Hope on Rifftrax. It's the first one I'm watching on that format. I plan on seeing the others on Rifftrax before 7 comes out for Xmas.

Star Wars Empire Strikes Back Return of the Jedi 1st New One - Jar Jar Binks, pod races, and Bryan Mills From Taken 2nd New One - Count Dookie, dumb-dumb and Black Swan hook up 3rd New One - where Hayden burns up The JJ Abrams New One
My girlfriend has just decided that she will give the Star Wars franchise a chance, and I'm trying to figure out the best order. The one I had read online is the one I typically go with:
Star Wars Empire Strikes Back Attack of the Clones Revenge of the Sith Return of the Jedi
There's no room for Episode One in this planet, but Two and Three give you Vader's origin story (with minimal Jar-Jar Binx) so that you can empathize by Six. Thoughts?

I would still watch all 6 even though I think that "1st New One - Jar Jar Binks, pod races, and Bryan Mills From Taken" pretty much sucks.
I like your order and might put the JarJar bukkake film as the last one. Anything that keeps Star Wars & Empire Strikes Back 1-2 will allow for the best reception, in my opinion.
Anyone think Disney should remake episodes 4 5 and 6? Make them more modern?
I say re-shoot them frame by frame and don't change a thing, but all with new actors.

If by 4,5,6 you mean the sequence than I am all for re-doing. If you mean the real first 3? Pretty much this.

Yeah I knew that was just being a wiseass. The first two are untouchable. Parts of the third are awesome parts totally jumped the shark.. .like the goddam ewoks.

Perfection? They are classics, but hardly perfect. They can be improved and modernized. And someone, anyone, would make a better Luke Skywalker. Sorry, but it's true.

Perfection? They are classics, but hardly perfect. They can be improved and modernized. And someone, anyone, would make a better Luke Skywalker. Sorry, but it's true.
They are perfect, they don't need to be made shinier or more flashy to be perfect. Also if you look at who played Anikin/Darth recently I wouldn't be so quick to throw out the phrase 'anyone could make a better Luke'. Besides it's seems fitting that they both take the cake in the boring and bad acting categories.....makes it all the more real

Don't knock the Ewoks, they were awesome.
