i think sun giant was released a littler earlier than the S/T, but if you buy the vinyl, they're packaged together - i would definitely call them of a piece. in general, for me, the songs on S/T are better than the songs on sun giant (mykonos the obvious exception).

Upon hearing this, I promptly ordered this vinyl. I agree with your assessment, although I enjoy all the songs on Sun Giant. I would still say Mykonos may be my favorite song by them, for now, maybe.

yeah, it's a pretty sweet deal. the only thing is i wish there was a large, vinyl-sized cover of sun giant. i've only seen the tiny crappy one on my mp3 player, or on a computer screen. and the sun giant cover looks like it would be pretty sweet to gaze at for a long time, like the covers of the 2 full-lengths are.

Yeah their covers are pretty cool. This is probably a bit much to ask since the EP basically comes with the LP for free.

Amazon needs to clear up their descriptions of what they're selling as far as vinyl goes (as far as extras, packaging, CD's, digital DL's). I mean, I would've bought it a long time ago if I knew that. They're losing business. I usually end up with extas I never expected when I order vinyl.

Sounds sound pretty basic chord changes to me. I don't think they ripped off the Pumpkins- songs are completely different.

You were there last night too, Medford? Boy was that a fun time. They were so much tighter this time around I thought. We had a blast. Thank goodness the crowd was standing and singing along because at the Somerville Theater 3 years ago everyone was basically sitting down with their arms crossed and I was told to sit down and stop being so loud singing the lyrics.

Ended up getting about 20th row seats for $15 and saw an amazing show. My highlights: Your Protector, Tiger Mountain Pleasant Song, Blue Spotted Tail, and Oliver James.

These guys are so tight live. They are going to have a very long, successful career. They were great on Fallon.

Helplessness Blues is a beastly album. I was fortunate to see the Fleet Foxes at Lollapalooza a couple years ago and they kept their harmonies perfect. I would love to be a groupie for these guys ;)
