I have always said, I support any war against Bin Laden. Not sure where things go from here but this is awesome.

how about going after the people who funded and supported him for years, even though he was doing the same thing as he did in this case, but it was against the Russians so we. the US gov't supported him and funded him

how about not fueling more terrorist attacks and pulling all troops out of all middle east countries.

how about not imflaming the foreign scene and refusing to choose sides of the palestine and israeli issue.

remembering the horror and pain of that day and how as sad as it was, it is a daily reality to other countries, many as a result of u.s. funded bombs and bullets. Why inflict that pain on other countries, when we know ho much this stung at the time and continues to sting.

why not treat other countries as allies and friends, rather than enemies and competitors.

i agree theres lots of things that can be done. i dont think sending 18 year olds to the desert is the thing thats needed though...certainly not soldiers who have been called up 4 ot 5 times.

i just think its common sense. i dont know anyone involved in the attacks, some of my favorite art, from The Rising to Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close dealt with the tragedy in the way it should have been dealt with in artistic terms, making someone like me, on the west coast, feel the pain and enormity of what happened.

And what happened was a tragedy. No one should have died. But I do think the whole 911 conspiracy thing wouldnt be an issue at all, if the facts of the U.S. funding Bin laden werent so outrageously true.

No one deserved to die on 9/11, but i think its common blowback theory. You do that enough to other counties, and minimize and dehumanize other countries pain as a result of your bombs and bullets, inevitably, someday someone will return the favor.

Thats the issue for me, Bin laden was a monster. But he also had extrmely cogent and intelligent thoughts about foreign policy. he read chomsky and william blum. He knew what was up. its quite clear why he hated america and it wasnt because he hated our freedoms.

I say lets go after all the people responsible. Even if you dont believe the Truthers, the facts of the U.S. cozying up with monsters is stunning. I mean, hell Rumsfeld is on camera smiling and shaking hands with Saddam. These politicans have no morals.

Why do we support and vote for, and have bumper stickers and give money to politicians who helped fund terrorists? its all the same to me.

Agree with you... Why just not live in peace? Being happy for somebody's dead just make you guys look really bad. And unfortunatelly, that would not bring back people that died in terrible and unjustified circunstances, victims of the hate of somebody that felt happy about another human being's dead...

i shouldn't say worried, maybe just bothered. we knew obl and what he was capable of and why he was fighting us. we don't know who will take over. there may be in fighting in AQ and the most crazy and most fanatical and bloodthirsty guy is going to win. and that is the guy i am bothered by.

Yeah my friend who knows what the future holds, what can we do? Until as a people we are able to take a look at what we are really putting forward into this world we all share, We will never truly progress as a people, rather fall down the way of all other civilizations in history who thought they would stay up high forever.

i'm sorry, i hate violence as much as the next guy but i'm not respecting this guy's life. i'll never forget the look on my best friend's face when she was crying, thinking her dad was dead on 9/11 because he worked near the twin towers and he could not be contacted for hours. i'll never forget watching people trying to climb down the side of the buildings only to fall off. i will never forget the hordes of people running away from the dust clouds. i will never forget watching those planes hit the buildings. and i will never forget sitting in class, watching my teacher jump up and turn up the radio, and hearing people screaming that a plane hit one of the twin towers, hearing the chaos, the crying. i won't ever forget what he did to my city, my country, and to the many families he ruined.

so no. i won't respect his life. i just can't. i'm glad he's dead. i dunno, maybe that makes me a bad person, i just know that i just.. can't..

I remember after 9/11 watching the news all day and at one point the congressman were outside and started singing god bless america. It was impromtu. it gave me chills and a feeling i have rarely felt.

Last night when they went to the people outside the white house singing the star spangled banner i got a similar feeling probably for the first time since then.

I respectfully disagree with those of you who feel this is not a time to celebrate. I realize why you feel that way but that guy finally got what he deserved.

Even though he is dead....as we are being told, those memories will forever be burned into my mind, sad but true. I had a flu and took the day of school when this happened so was in bed in the morning Melbourne time and I could hear the TV in the lounge room and kept hearing "America under attack", this made me get out bed and investigate wtf this was all about, and the rest is history.
Can't believe it is almost 10 years, wow where have these years gone?
