    Nice. Do you volunteer?


    I have an offer to volunteer a few hours and spin tunes at my local radio.org. it covers a very far radius. Still debating about it. All the good stuff is taken though from blues, jazz, oldies, international music and spinning new tunes. So I'm like what the else hell can one do? I was thinking about just doing "grunge" or stuff you would hear on "lithium" for two hours. Hasnt been covered yet.

    Yes, I volunteer, and I really enjoy being a part of the station. I'm using it as note-worthy experience while I gain education for broadcasting/audio & sound production/engineering.

    I like the idea of your show... mine focuses on classic (or "older" in a loose term) and modern alternative/indie. I do favor grunge bands, of course though. Go get involved... local, community radio stations need to stay alive and thriving. Volunteering is a great way to help.

    I agree. The guys who asked have like these huge vinyl collections and do shows on older rock and such. So I kinda feel a bit out of place but figure I can still download a bunch of stuff for the show even if Im not old schoolin' it like they are. I can ony imagine helluva good time if you put a bunch of PJ vinyl on the air.
