Going to a wedding on Sunday, no idea what will be served.

Also find it odd that my wife works for the US Army and had to work today and this Monday as well. I said to her, "next stop, fuck Christmas!"

A Seattle school renamed Easter eggs "Spring Spheres," in an effort to make the eggs non-religious symbols. A teen who volunteered at the school told MyNorthwest.com, "When I took them out of the bag, the teacher said, 'Oh look, spring spheres' and all the kids were like 'Wow, Easter eggs.' So they knew." Seattle Public Schools spokesperson Teresa Wippel said in a Seattle PI blog that the school board stated that they have a Religion and Religious Accommodation' policy which makes a point not to promote any "religious belief or non-belief." Last i checked Easter was a religious holiday only, not a government. the schools, and some jobs have Good Friday off merely as a "day of low attendance."

Also i would like to think that our military takes no (predetermined) days off (I think it safe to assume that attacks can come on any day; heck washington invaded the brits camp on Christmas). But because of this and many other things i'd like to say thank you both for all you do :)

    Oh and on topic:

Me and the future mrs. jethrojam420 will be bringing some buffalo chicken dip and nachos to the festivities at my aunts. Sure to be included there -
    Ham (which i hate)
    Mashed
    Green bean casserole
    stuffing
    gravy
pies and ice cream for dessert.

not much in the line of originality here but sometimes tradition trumps desire

"Spring Spheres"? What is this world coming to?!
For Easter dinner, was thinking of making veggie lasagna. Our wedding anniversary was a few days ago, so we've still got plenty of leftover devil's food pistachio cake.

my contribution is a pineapple upside down cake. Never made one before but it will be from scratch with a caramel glaze. Too bad I don't really like pineapple upside down cakes. But Mom requested it.
