I want to know where are the jobs the Republicans/Tea Bag party were talking about last year.
i want to know that as well.
wouldn't cutting funding for some of these government programs actually cut or destroy jobs instead of creating them?
I believe so. It's been almost four months since they took over Congress and haven't heard anything about creating jobs; just Paul Ryan's "cutting the rich taxes and Medicare and Medicaid death plan."
It sucks being in college and having no job. Even if I get a job for the summer, I'll be happy that I'm making some money. If the job wants to keep me while I'm at the school branch for now, I'll be happy with that.

...
Sort of like 'Letting GM and Chrysler Fail'.
Yeah... that would have shown those Auto Maker CEOs... they wouldn't have pirated the union pensions of the workers and retired to the Hamptons... would they?
And that is just what this country needs... thousands upon thousands of unemployed workers because we like having a large number of Americans out of work, don't we.
...
Tea Partiers may have good intentions... but, man. Sometimes... they just need to think... just a little... before they spew partisan political bullshit.

sorry pal, gubment can't create real jobs. they can only provide an environment conducive to job creation. Since our President never had a fucking real job, he knows shit about it. So here we are. The people that have power to create jobs, they are on the sidelines waiting for the shit show to pass. Meanwhile, those on the left are trying to spend everyone else's hard earned and paid tax dollars as if they were their own. See four posts above. I know I am in the left wing nuthouse so it's all good.

"certified" brain child response to that." :?: :?: :?: what is that supposed to mean?
as far as the rest of your post, it sounds like some email from tea party express or something, or talking points on right wing radio.
the government does create jobs. what about the military? police officers/firefighters/emts? highway/roadworkers? sewer district workers? prison guards? i think you get my point. the government does add these jobs, and if they cut these jobs they are eliminating jobs....to say that the government can not create jobs is ludicrous.
and here is a link to obama's jobs since college. i don't know what kind of "real job" you do, but i would consider every one of these a "real job".

he may have been referring to the fact that government cannot create real wealth, which is a job creator...the government employs people, but without the private sector creating wealth there would be no way to fund those employees and the programs they work for...I find it interesting when people say the government can or cannot create jobs, technically both are true if you dig hard enough...But without the private industry first creating wealth the public employees would not be able to exist

People did not like the fact that they did not know what was in the bill. Everyone has to agree our representatives should read the bills before they pass them. What the people want are honest representatives that represent Americans, and bills that have NO earmarks.
Isn't it up to the people to educate themselves regarding what is/isn't in a bill? They're posted online for anyone to read. Sadly, the media - who should play a role in educating people by presenting the facts in a black and white manner - drops the ball here. Some Fox commentators were only too happy to continue the Death Panels debate instead of shutting it down.
I'm totally with you about politicians reading bills though. It stuns me that they'll just walk into a chamber and vote on something they haven't read. Here in Louisiana we had politicians try and reverse a bill they voted on because they didn't read it before they voted "yes," and when they did get around to reading it they found they didn't like it.

me too. but then again they are always pissed for the wrong reasons.
they should have known that the gop was going to have to try to come to the middle ground, because they could not allow medicare to be changed or eliminated, otherwise they would lose the other half of their base, the elderly...who actually vote more than any other demographic by a long stretch...
