Its a crime for Dave Grohl to NOT be behind a drum set.
I do COMPLETELY agree with that statement.
I would have had no problem had he ditched Foo Fighters for QOTSA.
I'm so glad I saw him play drums for TCV. Him and John Paul Jones is the best rock rhythm section you could build today IMO.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

There were plenty of haters in the New Radiohead Album thread if you will recall

There were some who hated on Radiohead, and then there were those of us who love Radiohead but were disappointed in the new album, which was the majority of what was going on.
It's a crime for Jonny Greenwood to NOT be playing guitar.

I have been down on the Foos for awhile but I think this is a strong album. Not necessarily anything classic on this album but just about every song is listenable and can hang with most of their library. Some bands just don't bother trying to do things differently because what they do works. This is the main difference between a band like the Foos and Pearl Jam. This album sounds similar as others have mentioned to earlier Foo albums/songs, but sometimes consistency is a good thing. My favorites:
Since it's still new to me, my favorite have been changing almost day to day! Today I can't stop listening to 'I Should Have Known', love it. Amazing album.

Dear Rosemary and Arlandria are my favorites, and I think I'm in the minority in NOT liking White Limo!
I didn't like it when I first saw the video on the web but after getting the cd and cranking it up while driving the badassedness of it took over. But i can see why some folks wouldn't like it.
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

white limo sounds better live I think. still like it on the record, but live you could hear the vox more clearly. It wasn't as distorted, but still sounds good studio wise.
My two favorites so far are Bridge Burning and These Days. I've listened to this album almost non-stop since it released...love it.
As for White Limo, I personally love it. The video is badass and it reminds me of some old school Foo Fighters, like the "Colour and the Shape" B-Side. I know that song doesn't really fit with the album that carries the same name, but I still think it should have made the initial tracklist.
Aslo like Bridge Burning (Probably my 2nd fav song), These Days and Walk

But I will say that on first hearing a lot of the songs did sound similar and it's only as I've listened more that I've grown to appreciate the album.
