If they did, it would be over in less than a minute.

Well… The last 10 years of touring, I saw plenty of younger kids with their parents at rush concerts. So that meme may be funny, but far from accurate, Unless those kids came from a spaceship!

missing out. fly by night, the 2 I mentioned above , permanent waves , moving pictures are must haves.

then cruise from signals onward digitally. they went new wave-ish with more synth heavy stuff for 3-5 records. later they settled into a solid sound for them to the end of the catalog ....

Alright Mr Rat. Will keep my eyes peeled. Kind of like the band YES. Took me a while for my ears to gravitate toward, appreciate & enjoy them.
    2112 always worked for me

1st is good too, wirh original srummer. stay away from caress of steel. that shit is expert level rush listening.

others can speak to post power windows catalog but can recommend any live record. you can see what the band liked to play then backtrack those tunes you like to see what album they came from.

THE ALBUM, I first heard from a friend back in 76' . I remember saying that was certainly different, and the lead singer's voice is one of a kind. I followed them from there but was too young to see them. Not many friends were into them by the time college came around. I did find one who loved them, and we went GUP Tour 1984 Hampton Coliseum VA. I was hooked from that point onward for 49 shows. There was NOTHING like seeing them live even when it's the 5th time on any tour....the anticipation and excitement was unlike any other rock band I've seen. I miss them dearly.

I consider myself a pretty decent Rush fan but short of a real hardcore. Is there a consensus on what fans would like to see Geddy and Alex do going forward? Selfishly I mean. The obvious answer is "whatever they want" but after that.

    consensus? doubt it.

would like to see the pair on a completely different project. together. some unknown drummer. instrumentals.

Instrumentals because you won't have Neil's lyrics?
