I just saw that Gilbert Arenas is the 3rd highest paid NBA player and 30th overall in the world at $22M. And he hasn't played in 2 years! And he gets another $22M next year!

Also, it is not a good sign that Phillies management is any good at contract negotiations if I've never heard of Cole Hamels and he is in this list. Granted I don't watch a ton of baseball, but I'm fully aware of everyone else on that list.

Cole Hamels won MVP in the 2008 World Series. I think he won MVP in 2008 for the National League Championship Series too.

son, cole hamels was the mvp of the 2008 world series and one of the very best left handed pitchers in the world. you should know who cole hamels is.

Larry Brown won a championship MVP yet I'm sure anyone reading this thread has to google Larry Brown to figure out which sport he was involved with.

I just did a sanity test and I asked my friend sitting next to me if he knew who Cole Hamels is ... He had no idea.

    1. what? if you are pursuing the "NBA" thread and do not know who larry brown is, you've got problems.
    2. you and your friend are clearly communists and should be deported henceforth.

    1.its a different Larry Brown
    2. agreed...it's hard to believe that anybody that's followed sports over the last 5 years doesn't know Hamels, unless they turn the channel any time baseball pops up on the screen....hell, that's what I do with soccer and I've unfortunately learned a few names.

ah, yes. nba thread, i thought you meant the coach.

but again, comparing dallas' larry brown whose career fizzled out the moment that game ended, to one of the best lefties in the game is asinine. i think you would agree with that.

Agree. More of a matter that I live in an area devoid of a MLB team, thus not many follow the game closely. Combine that with the fact that I can't stand watching sportscenter anymore, that is why he was off my radar. It appears he is good after researching him.

The seven road wins in Games One and Two have already tied an NBA record. The only other time seven road wins happened in Games One and Two of the first round were in 1993, 10 years before the format moved from best-of-five to best-of-seven.

Good point by Bill Simmons that the NBA kinda catered to Sterling by directing Chris Paul to him when they've known he's been a shitty owner and a racist for decades.

He can't be forced to technically but I bet all the other owners get on his case to sell the team.
