We played Just Breathe at some point during the reception and ended the reception with Yellow Ledbetter.
I think most people were surprised that our first dance wasn't also Pearl Jam - but my husband isn't a huge fan like me, so I tried to show restraint. And Pearl Jam isn't really that danceable.
we should trade spouses hehe
in may me and my bride have love reign o'er me as our recessional we are being introduced to Smile.
just breathe is being working in during the show at one point as well...8/29/00*5/2/03*7/2/03*7/3/03*7/11/03*9/28/04*5/24/06*6/28/08*5/15/10*5/17/10* 10/16/13*10/25/13* 4/28/16*4/28/16*8/5/16*8/7/16 EV 6/15/11 Brad 10/27/020 -
The only things we told our DJ were "NO COUNTRY" and that he absolutely had to end the night with Ledbetter.
Pretty awesome, no one else got it, but very cool to me nonetheless.Hey, hey. My, my. Rock and roll can never die.
"Why go home? I am home! And I gotta tell you, it feels FUCKIN GREAT to be here. You may experience this yourself but, if you were born in Chicago, you're always from Chicago. And even if you don't live in Chicago, Chicago will always live in you."-Ed0 -
My wife and I came into the reception standing ovation to PJ's version of Baba O'reilly, and like some others here, finished with ledbedder. Lyrics don't always have to have the perfect message...when the music can take over all the emotions." Jump from a cliff to fly, not to fall..."0

My wife played the string quartet version of Elderly Woman as the brides maids came down, then she walked down the aisle to the string quartet version of Better Man (!). We entered the reception to Alive, and one of the last songs we danced to was Parachutes.
All were (very pleasant) surprises to me... it's been all downhill since. :shifty:
j/k she's awesome"You are everything, and everything is you. Me, you... you, me -- it's all related."0 -
Red_Dot wrote:If did a search yesterday and there are some decent older threads you should look at. I’m not sure many PJ songs would fit, but maybe Thin Air. There are some really good covers like Cant help falling in love and Throw your arms around me. Eddies cover of Tonight you belong to me is awesome – and its going to be on his new album. I like Neil Young’s version of Harvest Moon, but PJ cover that too.
My wife and I used PJ covering Harvest Moon for our Wedding song...the version we liked best was from the Wachovia Center (philly) 10.3.050 -
My wife and I were married in August 02. For the couples dance, we played the Otis Redding song (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay sung by Eddie and the boys. Its a great tune and of course Eddie rocks the lyrics!"See the path cut by the moon..... For you to walk on."
