I wish I took the time to see them live when I was younger...I'm definitely too old for metal show nowadays.
you must go see them live ..... they put on the BEST SHOW ..your not just their to listen to the music ... your part of the show . and visuals are insane .... people coming down from the rafters .. stages that look like they are on fire .. and the best part .. the first 10-15 min its kinda like Where's Waldo... you never know where Maynard will be singing . either behind a curtain the entire show .. sitting on a stool behind danny . dressed a woman .. once i was at a show and he never even came out on stage . he sang from his dressing room for 2 hours.
They've really gotten away from this kinda stuff over the last few years though, since 10,000 Days tour started. The stage is it's own big ass video screen, which kicks ass, and there is a cool laser show, and the video screens of course, but that's really about it. Maynard pretty much always hangs out in back by Danny on his little riser and stays there the whole show.
Regardless, TOOL is by far the best live show you can see (sorry PJ), but I'm a huge TOOL fan as well.
But yeah, somebody needs to figure out they have the crazy hidden song and get it posted up on the internet.
Damn TOOL really needs to release a new album.
ITS on its way.....have you seen the colors of my fathers eyes0 -

Do you think it's a red herring? I absolutely love this band, but I gave up on their scavenger hunts ages ago. I agree they're not to be missed live, too. Especially indoors recently, where the lasers can bounce off the walls and ceiling of an arena. It really brought Lateralus to another level for me. What they've done with their stage show over the last few years is impressive.
Bonus: I saw a couple years ago where Trey called them the most psychedelic band around. Thought that was really cool.0 -
To the guy who said he was too old for a Tool show... I saw them 2 years ago at a 6,000 seat outdoor venue and scored GA pit tickets. I hate moshing and all that stuff but I was able to just stand there with no problem. The crowd was not rowdy at all.* Cincinnati, OH 8.20.2000 *
