    It was a great show.

Hung out with some cool people at Dobbs and outside the TLA.

Really awesome show. This band is very good live. These songs are the kind that grow on you. I gave Three Mountains a few listens and really like a number of the tracks more and more I listen to them. Seeing them live really brings these songs to life and you get to experience the greatness of Doug Pinnick.

It was a nice, quick, clean set with a lot of energy. It was great seeing Jeff A and Mike M in such a small intimate setting... I love the TLA..... but the sum of the band was a really good entertaining show. I was really impressed with Pinnick as well.

Meet Jeff :o walking to the TLA. Very cool guy, down to earth. ME and friends walk with with back the venue, talking about the tour and the music. I was a little star struck. After the fact i so many things to ask him, but did not. Next time. 1 down 4 to go
The show was great, highlights for me Afrosheena, Utah, and La Grange. I'm hoping to be able to get to NYC to check them out on Saturday again

Great time last night, and glad to meet lots of cool 10Cers. I agree that Mike also melted my face. :o:D

It seems that I was the only person who didn't meet Mike or Jeff last night. :( It's so great that they are so friendly & down to earth. That's why we all love PJ, right!

Only problem was some overzealous security guards, who seemed to ruin the show for a few unfortunate people.

  • What a fun night!!! Met Brad Clausen at his bool signing... Super nice guy who said he was going to the show and would buy me and my girlfriend a beer... Unfortunately we never saw him at the show.

The show was awesome! Mike was on FIYA!!! I really like Dug Pinnick's voice too... Overall great experience and the guys just look like they are having a great time playing together!! :D:D

Upon further exploration, it appears I misunderstood some stuff that happened with the security guards, and they were actually pretty cool. Good to hear. ;) Although watch out if you had any, say, paraphanelia...

The TLA may be the best venue at removing pot smokers mid show that I have ever been to. It's almost like they have dogs there.

Mike was so awesome, amazing that I got to see him in such a small venue. I've been really close to him in arenas before but this was different, he's so underrated. And Jeff was just awesome as usual, so cool that these guys are so down to earth and able to play small venues like this so far away from their home area. Once again, I'm so thankful to these guys, great time!

Last night was a really good time. It felt very much like tour. I got to catch up with good friends, met some new people and other people I've met over the years. Got to hear stories of friends meeting Mike and Jeff walking on South Street. It was just fun being with a bunch of jammers again. Mike was awesome. He made the album come more alive and was on fire. Jeff had a huge smile on his face the whole show. The show lasted only about an hour - they were done about 10:30, but Mikey and Jeff looked in top touring form. The cover of ZZ Top's La Grange was a personal highlight for me.

I had a great time last night too. I have been to the TLA before but it always amazes me how small it is, not a bad seat (er, standing room) in the house. Mike was truly awesome, and Jeff looked like he was having the time of his life. Met all the guys EXCEPT for Mike and Jeff haha. But congrats to those who did, very very cool.

Overall, I was very impressed, and I had a great time. Thanks Tres Mts. :D

Not too many have mentioned, but I thought Dug was an awesome front man for that show. 8-) I liked the way he sounded better than on the record.

last night was so special. I can't wait to get pictures from everyone. Here's a long story longer!

Rob (YoullSeeDragons) and I got to The TLA around 2:15 PM. We wanted to check things out and then head over to Dobbs at 3 for a bite. Turns out Dobbs was closed and wasn't planning on opening until 5. They had no idea PJ fans were going to congregate there soon. They thanked us and told us to come back after 4. In the meantime, Rob and I hung out at the Starbucks across the street, watching the crew empty out the equipment. Mike's guitar tech came over to Starbucks but we didn't bother him.

Rob and I stood at the Fast Lane entrance and were joined by 2 others (Tanya & Dan). We stood there shivering and getting wet from the rain but had a great time. Sometime around 4, Rich (The Drummer) snuck in and we held the door for him. A few moments later, he came back out and hands his camera to Rob asking him to take a pic of him infront of the TLA. How cool is that? We spoke to Rich for a good while before he went back in.

Just around 5 PM, as i was head's down trying to get my blackberry working so we could listen to the AET with Tim and The Robb (nice plug for you guys huh?), "Deskilla" says "oh, there's Doug getting out of a car". And then I look up and next thing I know, Doug, Jeff, and Mike are hoping out of the car and walking right at us.

Jeff high fived us and briefly said hi before running inside. I spoke to Doug about King's X and how I saw him and Pound Hound here in Philly at The Troc over 10 years ago and he kept thanking me for the support. By this time, Rob, Tanya, and Dan were back with us and Mike stayed and gave us all time to talk with him, ask questions, sign things, and get our pics taken with him.

I spoke to Mike about various things that I share with the band such as activism in the community and having kids etc. He handed all of us PJ20 and Tres Mtns stickers which was very generous. I asked him for a favor and that was to absolutely give me some amazing solos and melt my face off. He promised me that he would and that I wouldn't be disappointed. Boy did he turn out to be right.

Only a few minutes after Mike left, others showed up including everyone's board favorite A.J. "RedMosquito22" and his wife. What a lovely and fun couple to spend the rest of the evening with. Great sense of humors and awesome stories made standing there another 2 hours go fast.

Rob and I were the first ones in. I got us our positioning in front of Mike. My little sister showed up later to rock out with us. During the set, the guys were an absolute treat. Mike got so close to our faces with his guitar that I swear I could feel steam coming from the strings. He played up in our faces and let us touch his guitar.

Special thanks to Mike's Tech who gave my little sis the guitar pick that Mike dropped on the stage that everyone seemed to ignore during clean up but us.

What a magical evening. What a talented group of guys. Rich is an amazing drummer. Doug's vocals are truly special. You all know about Jeff & Mike...

I have lived so many lives following this band around and yesterday just added to the best life ever lived.

Thanks for the kind words buddy!!!! We had a blast with you guys as well!! I'm so glad you ended up getting your sister that pick that was by Mike's amp. I thought they were going to ignore you for the rest of the night!! So thankful you told mike to "melt our faces tonight" because he did an outstanding job of that. I'm still trying to mold my face back to normal even at 4PM. hahahahahaha. I can't believe how close we were. Even people front row at PJ can't imagine how close this was. I know I will never be that close ever again even if I hit the lottery. Heck, Mike was laying in the crowd playing no more than 2 feet from us. I could hear him ask the girl 2 spots down if she was ok with it. Amazing, Amazing, a truly amazing evening!!

We definitely have to meet up for future shows.

  • very impressed, I wasn't lovin the album but all the songs sounded great last night, Mike is MVP! and so enjoyable being at the TLA, the show wasn't packed so you could move around, grabs drinks and hit up the bathroom with ease, but there was still plenty of energy and the band seemed to appreciate it. philly shows are always Ace!

Now that's a review! Glad you all had a great time!

WTF. So was I! You must have been right behind me. My highlight was watching the dude dance with himself for the entire show.

hahaha! Bigger dude in the cut off flannel? Yes we had a bit of a discussion after the show, hilarious. We must have been very close without knowing it.

  • last night was so special.

I have lived so many lives following this band around and yesterday just added to the best life ever lived.

So what can I add to the AMAZING time we had during our Tres Mts. experience? Dave you nailed it! :D I could add that we were helping out this dude that pulled up in front of the TLA with a car PACKED with musical equipment. He was very nice and grateful for the help we gave him. He introduced himself as Nate aka “Gull”, the opening act for the show. And what a show it was. He played a guitar with his left hand, a bass drum with his left foot, a high-hat with his left foot, and a snare drum and high-hat with his right hand, all while wearing a mask with microphones inside for vocals. This was all accented with a sound effect box that should have had smoke rising from it at the end of his set. What a great show of experimental music that I could be compared to early Pink Floyd. It was pretty far out!
Having Rich ask me to take his picture in front of the TLA, priceless. Then we got to take pics with him in front of the TLA. Meeting Jeff and dUg was quick but great, Jeff shook my hand like we were long lost pals. (We went to different schools together back in the day!)
Having Mike keep his promise and melt my face from about 5 inches away was so great, I touched 2 of his guitars.
The best part of any show is hanging out with old friends “elwayvedder” Dave, “Deskilla”, and new friends, Tanya, Dan, Michelle, “RedMosquito22” AJ and his lovely wife, all the fans in the FastLane line and on Mike Side!!

Thank You Tres Mtn. for playing Philly!!
