    I remember this song. It has been around for awhile and definitely great lyrics...I can picture Ed in a bar contemplating his past/future over a whiskey. ;)
    As for the origins, where it came from, how it was distributed, or who was the first and holy person to hear it...I have no friggin clue, I'm not in the band. But I will say its great to listen too. This is my preferred video as it includes the words.

    I believe this is probably from the Riot Act sessions based on the subject matter.
    It has never showed up on any studio sessions material list I've ever come across, but musically/vocally/lyrical context/atmosphere all point to this being from between the end of the Binaural tour-Riot Act.

    Yes, it is binaural - riot act era...same era that produced parting ways and uke songs. Seems like a theme!
