    3. Michael Jackson - Thriller
    4. John Lennon/Yoko Ono - Double Fantasy (only his songs, of course)

I (and I guess others) think that GNR were vastly overrated. Or maybe we're just sick of hearing the same 3 songs over and over again.

I tried to like Rush - I know that they are a very talented outfit - but it just never clicked. I really want to love that band, but I just can't do it.

It seems that I once did like Welcome to the Jungle. But I cannot stand that song at this point. And Sweet Child O Mine has become a parody of itself with whats-her-face butchering it at the Super Bowl and Slash along for the ride.

That music clearly stood out from the crap that everyone was making back then, but in light of the 90s and the like it doesn't hold up very well now.

Funny thing, a great local DJ, Pierre Robert, has a boycott of GNR once a year on the anniversary of Axl leaving an arena full of fans high & dry in Philly.

different strokes i guess but Appetite is definitely one of my favorite albums of all time...to this day....that said i'll give this a try....probably won't differ much from most folks who've already posted...

    GnR..Appetite for Destruction
    AC/DC....Back In Black
    Springsteen....Born in the USA
    Metallica....And Justice For All
    u2....the Joshua Tree
    Beastie Boys...license to ill
    Run DMC....Raising Hell
    Van Halen....1984
    Cinderalla...Long Cold Winter
    Tesla...The Great Radio Controversy
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

Ridiculous...It stood out then and continues to stand out. I'll admit that GnR took it a little too far over the top with the UYI's, but they made some fantastic, timeless music all in all.

If that raunchy delay pattern and Axl's crazy noises came on the radio for the first time today, people would be picking their jaws off the floor the same way they did 25 years ago.

To me GnR was kinduva bridge from hair metal to the alternative boom. Not saying they were alternative in the least, but they just came to rock how they wanted to rock.

I didn't follow this rule at all. I only got The Stone Roses a couple years ago. Come on - I was only 13 in 1990, and my parents raised me on HORRIBLE music, so I had a lot to overcome.

Damn, I forgot about the Dead Milkmen!

I'm taking Motley Crue off my list and replacing it with Big Lizard in my Backyard.

Also, I remember asking for the Batman soundtrack (the orchestra version) for Xmas and getting duped with the Prince version. :x It was a very traumatic time for me.

I'm also glad to see I'm not the only weirdo that listened to WWF music.
