  • I feel very lucky to have been at this gig tonight. For a longtime PJ fan, the reality is - having Ed tour solo down here is something I never thought I would have seen. Great gig!! Awesome atmosphere in such a wonderful little theatre.

Highlights - Masters of War, Porch, and his dedication to lives lost in Japan. A one man show - just unbelievable! A couple of fumbles, thus proven Ed is only human.

For anybody there tonight - who was the roadie? He seriously looked like the lovechild of Eddie Vedder and Dude Lebowski! He has to be a doppelganger, relative of Ed, or a case of Single White Eddie..

Can't wait for the Sydney shows. (How did heaps of people meet him? Did he come out?... Was too busy driving back to Sydders)

Weakest poster of the tour so far imo.

General consensus from the people I spoke to is that it was the best of the tour so far.

    I think it's a brilliant poster.

I like this poster, but for me, Brisbane night 1 and 2 posters were amazing.

    Would love to hear it.
  • Lastnight was amazing! Eddie sounded awesome and the setlist was great! Porch was by far a knockout! I felt every emotion Eddie felt. Loved seeing the oldies in front of me (in their 70's) singing every word to every song! Eddie, thankyou for singing in our little shithole and converting my Husband.

    bring on Saturday night!

Better Days was the highlight for me. Intense, with Ed singing over the tape recording without playing guitar. Classic Vedder... just beautiful. Said he probably won't try to play it again but I hope he does. The studio version of this song does not do justice to how he sings it live. His voice is better than its ever been IMO.

Also Arc, Off He Goes, MoW and as always The End was beautiful. Canberra crowd was much more into it, at least from where i was last night (second row - NOT a 10c seat...)

What an amazing gig! Had such a blast! Left work at 3:00, picked up my mate, drove from Sydney to Newcastle and watched Eddie RIP IT UP THEN DROVE BACK TO SYDNEY - GOT HOME BY 2:30 - NOW AT WORK - TIRED!

The show had it all: great setlist, laughs, stuff-ups, banter, emotion and ARC!

Highlights for me was definitely Off He Goes, I Am Mine, Better Days and ARC!
I have never seen anything like Arc before at a concert - I am truly blessed to have seen this performed by Eddie! The emotion of the performance was awe inspiring! At times I thought some of his vocal lines would clash with his other lines, and I admit I was a little worried for the ending, but then he started to gel it all together - each piece fitting with the next - and then BAM! - he started busting out on those amazing high notes, sitting on a stool with a single light shinning down on him. PERFECT! I was floored. How could I doubt him? - I never normally doubt this man's capabilities vocally, and this is why I will always remember this performance. Eddie truly is a great performer.

I know people complain about 10C seating (I was near the back of the stalls) but Eddie reached the entire room with his performance!

    Canberra: DONE!
    Newcastle: DONE!
Sydney I & II: BRING IT ON!!!!!!!

    What a great night!

The pre concert function was great, and my wife won a vinyl of Off he goes/dead man single in the raffle which was a bonus, and then to top it off the show was amazing.

Highlights were The End, everytime I hear this live it gets better, ARC blew me away, Porch and Better Days.
Wifey liked the version of Wishlist he played

His guitar was spot on. few whoopsys on the lyrics but you get that from Ed sometimes lol.

Only issue I had was being a 10C member for years now, row 19 tickets were a bit back there. My mate got 2 general tickets and scored row 3 or 4, I know they are random, but still...anyway............bring on Sydney!!

Maybe it was just me, but the sound was a shitload better in the civic theatre than in Canberra. Also good that the crowd kept the yelling folks at bay, which was an improvement.

Highlights for me were unthought known, MoW (again! So emotional, happy to see it once, let alone two nights in a row), and arc. I've heard it described as a religious experience, and I wholeheartedly agree with that.

    Bring on Sydney!

Every planet in the known universe must have been aligned last night. Probably even the unknown ones too, and all the asteroids and moons and whatever else is out there. That man (plus guests) in that room with that audience, on that night. Respect.

Thank you. Enjoy your journeys and be safe.

Better Days, Arc were stand outs for me. Has anyone got two tickets to any Sydney show? I'm still in the Newcastle area so could get to Sydney easily :)

  • What an awesome night! Sitting 3rd row in the dress circle, had a great view and the sound was incredible! So many highlights amongst the set list as well as Ed's banter. Loved his suggestions for uses for the vents in the back of the chairs amongst other ramblings :)
