Awesome these are being released but I wish they would find someone else to do them because most of these (and many of the BC shows) sound like shit. Whoever is doing these has no idea how to mix anything. They don't sound like the live show at all.

Agreed. The Crowes could really use someone with some technical expertise in this area. Most of their live recordings as well as their live DVDs (with the exception of the last one) sound and/or look like shit.
They are inconsistent as well. There are a couple shows from the "Say Goodnight to The Bad Guys" tour that are just plain missing.

That sounds great, but the boots usually do not. The final six shows from the San Fran run last year on iTunes sound great though.

Definitely in for Dallas and Austin. May do Houston too. The tickets are so cheap for such small venues and long sets. Except for the ones where he is opening for the J. Geils Band.

Yeah...I don't mean this as a slam on Ed, but it's kinda sad that you can get a ticket to see Chris Robinson play a 3 hour/2 set show for the same price as a deck of playing cards at an EV show.

What's the quality of the nugs.net recordings? Is it worth it? And for those of you who have sampled....which would be the best show...I love Mississippi you're on my mind so one with that one would be what I would lean toward....5/10 Santa Barbara seems like the one I would most want

It is really hit or miss. The biggest problem I have with them is they sound like they were recorded on some hand-held tape recorder. The vocals and keys are always too high in the mix and sometimes you can't even hear the drums or the guitar. Some are better than others. Actually that Santa Barbara sounds pretty good based on the samples.

    3/30 is horrid.
    4/18 sounds pretty decent.
    4/28 might be the worst.
