    Your joking, right?
    Your light made us stars
  • Fuck wisconsin.
this is actually a very big deal and will have a ripple effect all over the US with regard to destroying the middle class and making employers have more power and will stack the deck against their employees. what happens in wisconsin is going to determine what happens in the rest of the country. you should think about your position before posting such an eloquent post.

    My joking? Nice.

Fuck no. I'm a professional Firefighter. Yeah, take away our collective bargaining because we're "overpaid."

I'm sorry, motherfuckers, but I am not overpaid.

I'd like to see those pussies do what we do.

    again with the pensions...

I guess if it's such a sweet deal, perhaps you could get one of those sweet, low paying gov't jobs where folks bitch about you and at you all the time...or you could put your life on the like like Johnny...

methinks you'll just keep whining...

i'm sure if i was a pension person i would enjoy it. just human nature. but as a tax payer, i think it's pretty crappy that alot of people can retire in their 50's and get paid for life. do some 401k style system and match 5-8%. i could live with that.

just a couple of other quick thoughts....

maybe something special needs to be done for fire fighters and cops since it's tough for a cop to work until 65 unless they get a desk job or become a chief of some sort.

but teachers, school admins, .gov workers, senators and reps... no, tell me why they should get a lifetime salary????

As a tax payer, I'm happy that those like Johnny would take a dangerous job to keep you and me safe...I'm happy that there are those willing to take a not so good paying job and work for the public good...

folks seem to think public employees are making big money...trust me they're not...for past few years, many have gone without raises...have been laid off...been furloughed...had there medical insurance double and triple...

And this "retire at 50" thing, where are you getting that...? I know the military as something like that and maybe police...but not all public employees have that option...

and why is this suddenly an issue...? It's funny to me that folks are focusing on those working for the public good...

I'm a school admin and don't get a lifetime pension...never have. I get a 401k with an 8% match. I work two jobs...up at 5am...home at 10:30pm almost every night...on call for crises 24/7. I won't be able to retire at 50 but I'm sure I'll burn out before then. The non-professional staff here (janitors/clerical staff/etc) are in the pension system, but their salaries are also much lower.

i have no problem with people making money. i have a problem with people receiving a cool 1/4 million for life. for the first person, they retired at 57. what's the average life expectancy 78? that's a cool 5.25M. you can't sit there and say this person needs it to live a comfortable life? please.

i agree, there is plenty of greed on wall street. excessive greed is one of the biggest issues in america. it's why we end up with .25M pensions

The only thing that keeps me here is snooki and the shopping malls ;) They SHOULD give me a pension just to stay here  And my job has forced me to miss PJ shows way too many times. I deserve a pension for that too

The problem with the Wisconsin bill is not the cuts to salaries, benefits or pensions. The problem with the fucking bill is that those cuts were not bargained collectively. If you think public employees make to much run for your town government and sit across the table and tell then that. If you think you don't make enough form a union and bargain a contract. What's left of the middle class in the US should be scared shitless right now. There's a reason the tea party funding fucking Koch brothers poured so much money into Wisconsin and it's not because the care about the Wisconsin budget shortfall, it's about union busting.
  • As long as gov employees take tax payers money and those funds are used to sustain unions, then there is a big problem. As a private sector employer and owner, I am responsible for my own pension and at what age I retire as well as those employed by me. I feel that police/ firefighters deserve larger compensation as compared to the secretary, janitor, or whomever else is at a low risk job job in gov. Some gov jobs are high risk, just like in the private sector where we invest at a higher risk and either we reap the benefits or lose our ass, in the gov sector there is no loss cuz the union protects their rights. What about the taxpayers! Where are their rights in this? This is just a beginning to right the ship and that is all. I don't want to fuck worker's rights, I want things on a level playing field. Unions/ gov does not reward the exemplary employees, but protects the lazy and inept. Rights, if you need them so badly, I say look in the mirror and ask yourself, would I hire me?

    Your joking, right?

    My joking? Nice.

Fuck no. I'm a professional Firefighter. Yeah, take away our collective bargaining because we're "overpaid."

I'm sorry, motherfuckers, but I am not overpaid.

I'd like to see those pussies do what we do.

I thought you meant fuck the workers and protesters! Sorry!

The problem with the Wisconsin bill is not the cuts to salaries, benefits or pensions. The problem with the fucking bill is that those cuts were not bargained collectively.
