Nice to know the type of politicians "some" Tea-Partiers are behind. Scott Walker is on the payroll of the Koch Brothers. Check out the attached videos of the phone calls that took place between Scott Walker and what was believed to be one of the Koch brothers.

why is everyone so surprised by walker's actions?

    he is a republican.

this is what they do when they govern, they keep the rich rich and shrink the middle class so that it never becomes a threat to the elite. they are for business, business, business, and against the worker that makes those businesses run. if these tapes are really him talking to a koch, then he is corrupt and it shows who is really pulling the strings in wisconsin. and it ain't the governor...

and the people of wisconsin voted for him...

I totally agree, I just wanted to post this for anyone that is still behind the GOP and tea partiers, it's pretty ridiculous that politicians like this want to expand the lower class and eliminate the middle class

can someone explain to me the "gotcha" moment here. He basically says the same things in public. Like Gimme said, why is anyone surprised by this?

    fyi, Koch was spoofed.

the governor does sound like a douche. i'm ok with them busting up the pension bs, but to sell major assests (power plants) without going thru a bid process is a bunch of crap.

Was there ever a doubt that this guy had ulterior motives? This reminds me much of the Patriot Act, taking advantage of difficult situations to press an unpopular agenda.

for starters he refuses to even talk to the democratic senate minority leader at all but he is more than willing to take a call from a billionaire political donor over and discuss it??

I didn't vote for this asshole. He is a fn disgrace of a govenor and a disgrace to the state I live in. I am not part of a union, and have no benefit or losses related to them. The union workers have no problem paying more for their pension and insurance, which would help the deficit plenty, and which I think the should do. Why does their barganing rights need to be taken as well?

Prank calls; something anyone with a college degree could identify! Oh wait our moron of a govenor couldn't even graduate from college. How he even is allowed to run for govenor without a college degree is a joke, and we should be surprised he doesn't give a shit about education? It's time to impeach this piece of shit!!

No, I would say that stopping terrorism within the USA borders is popular. However, warrant-less wiretaps, email interception, and intrusion into my bank account info, among other things the Patriot Act allows, is the unpopular part.
Government is suppose to help people not hurt them. This business of removing the right to collective bargaining is absurd. It is taking advantage of the financial trouble the state that is now. This is the Tea Party's attempt to take organized labor out of the political picture.

Saudi suspect in terror plot appears in fed. court

LUBBOCK, Texas – A college student from Saudi Arabia accused of buying chemicals online as part of a plan to blow up key U.S. targets, including the home of former President George W. Bush, appeared in federal court in Texas on Friday.

Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari was arrested Wednesday and charged with attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

He was turned in by the company that sold the chemicals and the trucking company that was suppose to ship them. Both knew that the customer was not a commercial customer. The patRIOT ACT had nothing to do with it.

Yes, a tip clued them in, but the article mentions:

....Within weeks, federal agents had traced Aldawsari's other online purchases, discovered extremist posts he made on the Internet and secretly searched his apartment, computer and e-mail accounts and read his diary, according to court records.....

I guess I'm speculating, but I would be surprised if the Patriot Act wasn't used to justify the searches.

They could have gotten court ordered wiretaps and search warrants in this case too. Now they can just snoop at will.

They are also getting petitions together to get rid of the 14 Democrats that left the state. They have abandoned the taxpayers of Wisconsin, and it's time to send them home. I hope they do get rid of them.

It'll be an uphill battle. The majority of people in Wisconsin support them and are against the Governor. He's a one-termer for sure. If he makes it that far.

The people that are against the Governor are the ones that didn't vote for him silly. He's doing what he said he would do once he got into office. Lets see how many of those 14 don't get elected again.

Many of the people that supported the 14 are now saying enough and time to get back here and do your job.

I would say that these 14 legislators are doing what they were elected to do. Represent the values that got them elected. They know that if they return, the right to collective bargaining, that people have fought for in the country for 100 years, will be in jeopardy. Most Democrats support the right to collective bargaining. I think these folks are standing up for the people who elected them.

Man, this is getting so out of hand as usual. It's too bad there couldn't be a real discussion about this. But you have a governor not willing to listen and others running away and taking their footballs home so no one can play. Jesus people, grow up.

is it heroic to come back to your job, have to vote and get something that is an unamerican bill get rammed up your butt with no lube? i think what they are doing is heroic.

they are in a no win situation. either they come back and vote and end up getting voted out next election for letting this bill pass, or they stay away and risk losing their seat next election. personally i feel strongly enough about this issue that if i were one of the 14 i would have left the state too. and i would not come back until after this session expires unless some ammendments to the bill are made.

this issue and what those congressmen are doing is the exact same is if it were the democratic controlled house before november 2010 if they had a vote to ban handguns. i guarantee republicans would have left to avoid showing up and having to vote for something so critical to their base, and they would not come back and allow that bill to pass either. the attitude for both situations is the minority will allow that bill to pass over their dead bodies. that is commendable to me.

and another thing, why the fuck are people so angry at these 14?? what they are doing is the exact same thing as what the senate gop did with using the filibuster over 100 times in the last session..
    http://newsjunkiepost.com/2010/03/02/re ... libusters/

you can not celebrate the use of the filibuster while damning these people for leaving. we should maybe just change your above quote to "heroes delay votes!!"...

i guess one man's hero is another man's coward...
