jobs are up...rates are up lil bit :x

i love when rates are at all time lows (there is usually a small window) and people just assume they'll keep dropping. "nah, i think they're gonna drop a little more."

    DOPES.

but who knows how real that number is? It seems like they often make that number up or embellish it because of seasonal work.

well yeah, we already knew that. I think in the next presidential election, it might be time for a write-in vote

Great documentary. I don't understand how anyone can watch that and then support deregulation.

Too Big To Fail is a great book too. Highly highly recommended.

    A Good Investment:

‎"If you purchased $1,000 of shares in American Airlines one year ago, you would have $49.00 today. If you purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG, you would have $33.00 today. If you purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers, you would have $0.00 today. But, if you purchased $1,000 worth of beer, drank all the beer, turned in the aluminum cans for recycling, you would have $214.00. Therefore, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. It is called the 401-Keg Plan."

    actually

    AMR would be worth ~530
    AIG ~608
    Lehman ~572

drinking budweiser 24 pack cans from binny's at 14.99 + tax would yeild roughly 363 in cash, assuming each can is half an ounce of alluminum and you can sell it for 50 cents per pound

i'm just going to assume your numbers are old, as lehman went from big bucks to pennies. last year it was at 7 cents per share

30 yr fixed rate...4.25% with NO FEES. :o:o ....other places lower than that. nuts.

i know, i know, that's no the stock market but the two are intertwined. been doing this 10 years and i'm amazed every time i've priced out a loan these past 2 weeks. it's incredible how low these rates are.

on a 30 yr?.....paying about 2 pts for that here. might find some places with 1.5 pts.

depending on your situation, though, that could certainly be worth it.
