As a devoted PJ fan I have to come to the conclusion and both Ticket Bastard and PJ are making fun of us.

From noon till now I have been trying to get tickets for msg 2.... first I get a wait of 12 minutes, after not hitting the browser i get a 'sorry tickets not available' message.
I spent the next half an hour typing wacky tonishment - 21 pregnant - madrid colonials - chalkocsky sky - and all the stupid phrases that should prevent scalpers from getting multiple tickets (gimme a break....)
    and no luck.
At about 12 29 i receive offers for SECTION 314. That's the last section on top, slightly behind the stage. Do they really think I have been a fan for almost 2 decades to sit there?
What about the ten club promise 'seats right behind fan club members' ?
How come pearljam.com cannot handle more than 300 people logged in at the same time (I don't think they sold 8000 available fan club tickets in 30 mins with the real presale....) ?
How come this second presale cannot be done on pearljam.com where scalpers cannot buy multiple tickets ?
(don't be naive and think that 'gardenofsea' was exclusive for us.... by now scalpers sign up for the ten fan club and go do their multipple orders as well).
    The cherry on the cake:
enjoy stubhub's website that had tickets for sale before the ten club presale, and still does plenty, including from tenclub members, up to $ 19,000 per ticket.
    http://www.stubhub.com/pearl-jam-tic...vent_id=602928
Not even the dignity to post these after tickets go on sale to the general public.

Sorry for the complain, but they actually managed to make more pissed than before, which I never thought could be possible.
  • Here is some food for thought, don't want to start a shit storm or nuthin but the e-mail stated that the tickets released today would be right behind the 10C seats.

Dude, I am mostly seeing shitty seats posted on the board from the pre-sale today. What is that telling us about the people who have regular 10C seats for MSG I and II??????? (uh-oh) What kind of seats are we gonna get???? (keep it together) Have I been in this club for over 10 years now just to sit in section 300 in June at MSGII ?????? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sorry bout that.

I got section 37 for MSG II and section 334 for MSG I. I bought MSG II first and then went back and tried for the first night. I got tickets for MSG II pretty quickly. It took longer to get MSG I tickets.

It seems like it's just a handful of sections that all the tickets are coming from. And they are definitely NOT the best seats behind 10C

So really, you'll be fine on Friday. Probably will fare better than us dupes who took the 300s.
every single presale that i have ever been involved in....

turned out to be nothing but shitty seats.....and i just dont know why this presale would be any different....

as much as someone would want to believe that the 10club and ticketmaster gave us the opportunity for the "best seats available" today......

    i just dont believe it...

I doubt the 10C would give a presale for shitty seats... I also know Jack Johnson had a presale through ticketmaster and they gave the best seats in that...

More like best seats they (TM) are willing to make available.

  • the 'best seats' does not have the same meaning for everyone. While lot's of people would rather be on the back of the floor I would not. You cannot see shit from there. I would much rather be up close on the side or even in the back of the stage at MSG (that's where I was in 96 and it was awesome). I know PJ releases the front sides before the back of the floor in some places becasue _they_ think they are better. So when they say 'right behind 10c members' it's not entirely clear what they meant. The whole floor could already have been taken up with 8000 10c members. and they moved to the sides.
So, would you rather be in level 200 in the back or 300 up close to the stage? I doubt everyone would answer the same, so PJ has to make a call based on _their_ preference, or whatthey think ours would be. Think about it!

I got sec 314 for MSG1. After today, I still don't think it'll be that hard to get tickets and still not pay through the nose, either on Friday, outside MSG, or through people who bought extras.

I may have 1 extra for MSG1 that I'll likely be willing to sell at face to a nice 10clubber.

There's no way my wife would be willing to see them both nights!

I just pm'd you re your possible ticket. Thanks.

I share the positive thoughts guys!!

I'm not in 10c, so no presale for me (and no begging for the password, I'm not 10c and I get what I deserve).

BUT... on Friday they will start selling much more tickets, I am faithful that I'll be at least IN.
I'm looking just for one seat, should be easier.... I would love to be near, but it's good enough that PJ are coming to NY (I've never seen them!!!).

Peace and love and.... tickets to everyone!!!!!

There were, apparently, more 10C seats available for 03 than there were for the 10C this year. I have 154xxx (quite good but not phenomenal) and had very good seats for both nights. Night 1 was exactly to the side of Mike, up about 20 rows in the 100's section. Night 2 was Stone's side, halfway back of the arena, up maybe 10 rows. Both were more than fine. I have a feeling 10C seats this year will be as good as 03, if not better on average, and that TM screwed 10C for this 2nd presale deal by making sure some great seats were available for Friday's sale.

    Dear Nikita:
The whole floor is not taken up with 8000 10c members because:
    - tickets on pj.com were sold out in 30 mins or so. There is no way 4000 tickets were sold in 30 mins, especially with the website freezing.
    - tickets on the floor have been on sale by scalpers for almost a month now.

I understand your preference for higher seats but closer to stage, but honestly what they offered us today was crap. I got offered behind the stage.
Why is it so hard to believe that TM sells better seats to scalpers so they can make more money?

That's my point. 10C did all they could, and I am sure TM sleazed it up a bit somehow.

10C went above and beyond anything they 'had' to do.

I can't believe there were bastards reserving tix they had no intention of buying. There are no words. Cheers, I'm 0 for 3, guess I know who to "thank" now...

I agree, I don't doubt for a minute that TB did all they could to F us over as usual, but I think 10c probably did all they could to try to make it 'right'

No, it was a pair. 314 for a single?!? Damn! I would have thought you would be much closer!

I don't know man, I hope you are right, but that sounds a bit fucked up. We'll see on Friday I guess. Don't get me wrong, I am happy if all the people who got shut out again get tickets, and are better than mine, but I sure hope 10c was in good faith. I guess we'll wait a while for an apology, yeah?

I know this is unlikely too, but its possible that these were the best seats behind 10c, that ticketmaster would allot to the 10c for a second presale. It may not, and probably was not up to 10c at all.

They need to go back to the days of mailing the tickets out to 10 club members. I have a 10 club number in the hundreds and I keep getting shut out.

here we go one more time

the 10C got blocks of tickets for both on sales-but they do NOT GET ALL OF THE SEATS IN A GIVEN SECTION, most will never be put onsale to the public at all.

the better tickets that the 10 C was able to secure went through the 10c site, the remaining went today with TM fees. Those seats are all over the building, and Id bet the same is tru with the 10c seats.

take section 120 for example, first five rows 10C sale, next ten rows (TM never releases for promotional reasons), next group of five went today.
None of those will be available Friday and I do really think thats how it went down.

    you get my drift.

    It wont make a difference.

Many more fans, a lot fewer tickets is the bottom line.

Well, you may be right, but this is genuinely misleading:

"The seat locations will be the next best seats behind the
    Ten Club"

It is. I took my section 314 under the assumption I could do no better on Friday. And if there are going to be 10c tickets in section 300... ouch. Hasn't it worked most of the time that 10c tickets are better than regular sales ones?
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

That is what a lot of greedy people need to realize. There are thousands of fans trying to get the best seats. Not everyone will be in the first 20 rows. Just be happy you are there. Isn't the music the most important part?

I got both nights, pair in sec 313 i think, only tried bc i got shut out of 10c fan sale, i hope no 10c members got both the fan club seats and the tm presale bc that wouldnt help out the other fans that really needed them, keep hope alive if you dont have seats yet

  • 1st post on this 'ere message board! :)

The whole ticket system really is a mess. I'd like to think that 10c would have not deliberately stitched up the fan club members, and blame it more on TM. I too have been watching the rip-off site that is 'stubhub' and have seen tickets there for a couple of weeks now (IIRC, before the 1st 10c pre-sale). Where do people get these tickets??

I really wish someone would come up with a way of stopping the outrageous profiteering at the expense of genuine fans..or 'scalping', as you guys call it - known as 'touting' on this side of the water!

I'm still optimisitic (fool that I am) of getting tickets tomorrow. Me and my missus will be flying over from the UK and will get in one way or another. Been a fan since '92 and have never had a chance to seem them live. That MUST change this year!

Good luck to everyone tomorrow...and if you have spares, do the decent thing and share them at face value with real fans (and hey, if that's me...I'd graciously accept! ;) )
