I grew up there in the 60's, 70's and 80's when it was still a decent working class neighborhood. Unfortunately, It's a war zone now (and even more unfortunately my parents still live there)!

But still - yes, you're right - I know quite a few guys from the old neighborhood who have seen some significant jail time - and more than a few who are dead now (and not from old age - I ain't THAT old!!)

I grew up in Mayfair, graduated from Frankford in 1976 abd moved away in 1980. Even though I've lived in Virginia the last 22 years, I still get up to Philly for sports events, closing of the Spectrum and other PJ related events.
