    Grew up on the good side of the river in Washington Twp, NJ. College in baltimore (wife is a penn st grad)...moved to Northern Liberties after college (and lived at the sea isle bars during the summers), then to Queen Village (3rd & christian) for a few years. Got married and moved to Havertown. Recently started a new job and moved down to Towson, MD.

    Still hit the in-laws shorehouse in lewes, de...and I have my phils season tix.

    Philly will always be home regardless of where I live.

    I grew up there in the 60's, 70's and 80's when it was still a decent working class neighborhood. Unfortunately, It's a war zone now (and even more unfortunately my parents still live there)!

    But still - yes, you're right - I know quite a few guys from the old neighborhood who have seen some significant jail time - and more than a few who are dead now (and not from old age - I ain't THAT old!!)

    My old apartment in Willow Grove was actually right on 611 just on the Upper Moreland side of Moreland Road (which divides Abington "proper" from both Upper Moreland Township and Willow Grove).

    i'm 42...and i feel old...frankford is completly differant now...shootings instead of soccer games :o
