With all the attention that Seattle 2 is getting I think night 1 will be one of the most underrated shows of all time. I love it, especially the main set.

Yup! Only in as far as Getaway, but wow! So, just SO good. Really warm sound on the bootleg. Instruments are all VERY clearly audible. Crowd noise in the spots where you want it and not in the way at all in the mix. Splendid work! Thanks so much. Gonna be so fun to re-live this one.

Seattle 1 was a good show. Band was super tight. I think the difference was Night 2 the sound was bigger. It was loud night 1 but it was deafening Night 2 and the crowd played off of it more

So the crowd played off of the crowd being louder? And that made for a better show?
I was at both and really enjoyed the shows.
I was just commenting on how night 1 was just as good.

No, I believe the sound technicians had a better handle on the volume

I was at both shows as well. My buddy who sat with me behind home plate night 2, was in the pit night 1 and he commented on the energy/ sound volume being better night 2

Chicago 1 2018. Best Getaway I've ever heard.
  • I’ve been a PJ bootlegger (listener, not recorder) since I bought the Mansfield 2 ‘98 show at Best Buy 20 years ago. I now have 180 or so in my collection. I’m certain that I’ve at least listened to complete recordings of close to half of all the shows Pearl Jam has ever played, most through headphones. There’s even 2 or 3 other bands whose live performances and bootleg releases really grab me and I’ll somewhat regularly seek those out. Point being, I dig it.

Wrigley 1 2018 is as good as anything I’ve ever heard.

Wrigley 1 is tighter than Night 2 in 16 and I wasn't thinking it when I was there (I loved both shows) but Night 1 - 18 is ridiculous and looking at the sets in hindsight they are very comparable.
    98: St. Louis. 2000: Alpine. 2003: Chicago. 2006: Chicago Night 2, Milwaukee Night 1. 2007: Chicago (Lolla). 2009: Chicago 1 & 2. 2011: Alpine 1 & 2. 2013: Chicago & LA Night 1. 2016: Chicago 1 & 2. 2018: Chicago 1 & 2.

Yeah. whoever mixed these 2018 boots did a fantastic job! first time I have been able to hear Stone and Jeff clearly in a mix since probably the OG 2000 boots. crowd balance is good too..... bravo!!!
