We are on the right side of history in Seattle, Washington where you're allowed to have not just medicinal marijuana but you can just have any kind... They got not just stuff to inhale or smoke... They got popsicles, and gum, and Vaseline, and... I mean anything, anyway... Q-tips... It's crazy!... Speaking as a touring musician, you know, you guys, some of you might have to travel in your estranged hotel rooms and in the middle of the night you might hit your toe on the side of a thing that you didn't know was there... And you're going to need to have some medicinal marijuana on hand at the time... And just to dispel another myth... And again I'm not really pro anything... I just think that no one should be in jail because of it... And now that I think of it, even if you are, they should probably legalise it for the jails first... But, to just dispel a myth, they say that it messes with your... Your... Your memory... But that's bullshit because... You know how many bands Matt Cameron is in?... Matt Cameron, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, he's one of the greatest drummers in the world... He must know 200-300 songs at any given time... And I'm not sure, how many times he's inhaled?... But, at least, once cause I think that's when he wrote this next song... ~ Eddie Vedder

I was going to tell you a quick story about my daughter, because I'm old enough to have a daughter that is now bringing homework that is like calculus... I told her I can help her out with that because I'm really good with numbers... I'm good with phone numbers... So, I called the tutor... And I was able to help her out that way... But my real problem lately it's been with English... And that's because I have such a difficult time think about how to communicate... Like the question that we have: Why aren't we able to come together more closely when we're faced with such huge challenges like climate change, the pandemic, as a country, and as a planet?... This is when we need to be united, and not divided as I think we all feel sometimes... And I wish we can reach out to our neighbour, and I wish we can understand our differences, and I wish we can come together and fight as if aliens were coming down from the universe... Just like an alien virus comes in and infects us all... I just wanted to be united, and English was failing me, so I went to simple math... I'm going to try out my equation on you: Multiply love, add hope, subtract fear, and end division... ~ Eddie Vedder

This is a public service announcement... With microphone... I just want to remind everybody out there that this is one of a number of states that you will be required to have a photo ID when you go to put your vote and act like a good American and make your opinion be known... So, don't go losing your IDs tonight when you take off your clothes and leave them on the beach and go swimming naked... And then look out for maybe  some of the older folks in your community cause a lot of them... You know... Your grandpa, your grandma... They might not have a photo ID... They might not have driven for a while... And maybe that's a good thing... Social security card won't work... Library card won't work... School ID won't work... It's a little strange... However, a fire arms licence will work... So, maybe this is just going to end up being a case of granny get your gun... But seriously, no matter how you want to vote, make sure you vote...
