Mt. Baker on vinyl and I don't get how people don't love this more - especially the Binaural folks. This is a cool album - most underrated Vault?
98: St. Louis. 2000: Alpine. 2003: Chicago. 2006: Chicago Night 2, Milwaukee Night 1. 2007: Chicago (Lolla). 2009: Chicago 1 & 2. 2011: Alpine 1 & 2. 2013: Chicago & LA Night 1. 2016: Chicago 1 & 2. 2018: Chicago 1 & 2.

This was one of my favorite go to audience tapes for years. Having it on Vault is fantastic. Truth is on here, the boards, you don't get a lot of fans who are into the band during Binaural and Riot Act era. I have no freaking idea why, but they are just either not here or not vocal.
There is also a bit of whinery about this being a vault because it was premiered on PJ Radio before the official release. But for me personally, that is quibbling. This and the two 1998 shows are the best Vaults by far. This is my personal favorite because I have always liked this show, and I love Binaural.
To the guy shouting "Daughter" after they played footsteps and were taking requests, I salute your blazen drunkenness or simply weird behavior. The song was already played earlier in the night.

The Vaults pre 98 don't do much for me. I just like a deeper setlist and I love Binaural songs live. I was skeptical about a "practice" show being released but man it's so good. If I had one complaint it's that they left off "Parting Ways," but we are greedy aren't we?

Listened to this one yesterday, I was in an avocado kind of mood.
Play "Unemployable" more. Just a fact. It needs to happen.

PJ20 - not the shows (although I would love to experience that again in some high quality format).

The only eras worth Vaulting are 1998 and prior. There is so much material available from every other era it is just a wasted opportunity to be focused on post 2000 shows. I know there are a couple of sprinkled shows here and there from each tour that did not get released, but selfishly, I am not getting any younger so I'd rather hear unsurfaced multi-tracks from 1993, 1994, 1995 and especially 1996. There are certainly a few 1998 shows worth digging out too.
I know there are a bunch of shows in and around 2004 VFC and the 2007 EURO jaunt, but there really is no uncovered musical territory that is not shown by the 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2008 official releases.
I would really love to hear them knock out 9.28.1996 Randalls night 1, to begin with no good audience tapes really worth repeat listens seem to exist. That night would fit perfect on a 3 lp vault and it was just so much crisper and more electrifying than night 2, which was an epic show but had a lot of momentum starts and stops.

Vault 8 is awesome. I wondered why they picked it and I just need to stop wondering about wondering.
