and if Obama can't fix hopefully the next liar in office will.

lets use the "root cause analysis method"...so now we know it's broke and why it broke and according to you all we know who broke it but at this point who gives a fuck who broke it,lets get the damn thing fixed and worry about who broke it later, do you hunt for the arsonist before you put out the fire ?

So, by your viewpoint... we really shouldn't care about the Banker/Brokers that fucked up the economy and quit bitching about the bail out money we had to pay them to keep us from completely collapsing, right? Who cares who's responsible, right? Just put out the money to fix the problem, right?

I do also but I said already what will happen to Bush and the banks have a trump card in their pocket..control of our economy, what I have posted is very real,we can nail Bush and the banks to the cross here on the train but it wont amount to a hill of shit..infact nothing on the train ever will.
so as I have said the best we can hope for is that this mess will be fixed by Obama or the next president, if Bush and the banks get hammered in a court of law that's great but don't count on it we are dealing with powers that are so big most of us just don't understand completly how powerful they are. IMO
we are talking about things bigger than a blow job in the oval office :D

So... you DO believe in personal responsibility... but, only if it applies to little, insignificant people like you and me. It does not apply to politicians or rich people because they are going to get away with it anyway, so why bother, right?
I get you... I don't agree with your belief that rich and powerful people should be free of responsiblity for their decisions/actions... but, i respect your opinion.

you've entered the den on this one Kat  so who do we hold responsible for 911 ? and I'm not looking for conspiracy theory's, this country got kicked in the----and we reacted and now the only thing people on here say is that it's Bush's fault and I disagree,I don't like war either but wonder if anyone on here could do a better job of defending our country ? rather than throw out accusations about something they know little to nothing about other than what they find on the Internet.
    Alright, I'll bite.
If you're not looking for conspiracy theories, so stop believing that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. That's one of the worst conspiracy theories ever. You kept hearing about Al Qaeda, well, they weren't in Iraq during Saddam's era. It's much easier for a shitty terror group that has low popular support in the Muslim world like Al Qaeda to take over in a war-torn country that one in which a dictator rules very tightly.
Bush had some of the shittiest advisers. First of all, after 9/11, there were swift condemnations across the entire Arab/Muslim world, including in Iran. NO ONE supported it. They were all on our side. The U.S. actually had the chance to keep it that way. If they followed their rhetoric of transporting democracy to the Muslim world, that is. Instead, they maintained relationships with dictators (an act they still do--to the very end that is. Remember: the U.S. did not abandon Mubarak till he himself left. The same is true with Qadhdhafi in Libya right now, and the King in Bahrain), they invaded Iraq despite the international community being against it and killed up to a million people--a MILLION people, and over 5 million people lost their home. Oh, and just for you guys to know, out of the 5.5 million or so Iraqis who lost their homes, do you know how many the U.S. accepted to come to their country? 1200. That's one thousand, two hundred people. That's 0.2%! so after the U.S. helped maintain dictatorships everywhere in the Arab/Muslim world, from Morocco to Afghanistan and elsewhere, we started noticing that Arab/Muslim sentiment toward the U.S. became much more negative. That's when the famous question popped up: Why do they hate us? I guess the answer would be to fucking realize what the hell we've been doing for decades. Oh, and support for Israel doesn't even need to enter the equation here. Everything else we do is just so damn fucking ridiculous that when support for Israel is added, it just shows how idiotic and backwards our policies have been from the beginning. If we wanted to eradicate terrorism, all we had to do was to eliminate support for dictatorships, take a serious and more active approach to solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and actually take on the role of being a "moral beacon" in the world. But that route doesn't line the pockets of corrupt officials with money, so it's ignored. And then it leads back to us--the American public--who do not hold our leaders accountable of anything, who every election cycle vote for the same fools over and over again, despite them policing us through laws like the PATRIOT ACT, through taking away economic freedoms, and making us hated in the world and thus putting us all under security threat. What's more, the more there is a security threat against Americans--and keep in mind we've already established this security threat is due to our policies--the more freedoms get taken away FROM us BY our government. So the government so far has been making money off of wars, wars which are based on lies and any war based on lying to the public is immoral and unjustified no matter what (though I'd argue almost all war in general is immoral and unjustified but that's another story), it's been taking away civil and economic freedom from the people (just because you don't witness this yet doesn't mean it isn't happening), and the government has only been making our problems worse with its foreign policy.

So you ask what I would do differently? A whole fucking lot. You ask who should be held responsible? Well, until we get the courage to hold our leaders responsible, we should hold ourselves responsible for not doing SHIT.
