Not looking good for Shad. Still no sign of him and US coast guard has called off the search for him 😢
That is a horrible story.  What a shame.
Looks like his body washed up on shore RIP Shad. Died a hero. Saved his son. Also heard a few years ago he stopped an armed robbery in Florida i believe.

That Dark Side of the Ring with Owen was pretty emotional. The one thing I'll never forget his the day after on RAW with the tribute/celebration of his life. I bawled my eyes out during that.

    So did i.

He first came around when I was really into WWF.  Crazy that he has been in it all these years.

Taker is the GOAT. Been a main eventer since day 1 and Is still 30 years later. Handed a gimmick that’s almost as cartoonish as any in wrestling history and made it legit.

The Undertaker thing was great.  Having Paul Bearer with him was lame.

i remember being in gym class in grade 9, our teacher had us pick basketball teams, and we were allowed to pick a team name.

i named our team The Undertakers. one of my classmates said "someone watched wwf superstars on saturday". it had been his debut, and i was hooked.

I loved what Paul Bearer added to the Kane and Mankind feuds. That turn in the boiler room brawl match was epic. Also, distinctly remember the Taker vs Taker storyline and how Paul Bearer basically sold the whole think by himself.

I know this will be unpopular given the last few posts, but I thought the Undertaker was boring as shit for the first like 7 years. Around 1997, he became entertaining for me (underrated title run from the Dead Man that year by the way, along with the two masterpiece Shawn matches). But before that, I wasn't into it at all. I admired his acting ability to play the zombie character. But otherwise, everything the Undertaker was involved with from his debut up until Mankind's debut kinda sucked. The Hogan title change in '91 was sort of interesting I guess. Feuds with Giant Gonzalez, Kamala, The Million Dollar Corporation, the fake version of himself, and Yokozuna? Not so interesting.

i can see this side of it. I think i honestly at that point in my life (angry young teen), the undertaker spoke to me. in the same way at the time heavy metal spoke to me.

if he had appeared as a character later than that, i may have had the same opinion.

I'll say one thing though about early 90's Undertaker, while I wasn't too into watching it on TV, I used to attend a lot of live events and TV tapings as a kid, and it was cool as hell to see him live. And speaking of his good acting, I once saw a match at TV taping between him and Jerry Lawler (probably around '93). Dude, you would have thought Lawler was in a horror movie. He was visibly trembling throughout the match, always running and hiding, and begging for mercy. Not that any of that could stop him from getting tombstoned and pinned lol.

1997 saved him for me. By then, Austin was on the rise, the nWo and ECW were running hot, and it seemed like something like the Undertaker could have seen it's time pass. But no, they let him on the mic, they made the great Kane storyline, and I can't stress how many great matches he had that year. Some really good PPV title defenses against Mankind, Austin, Vader, and Bret (where he loses the title with Shawn as the ref). And then his first match with HBK followed by the Hell in the Cell match with HBK. He transitioned well from the hokey early 90's bullshit to the great late 90's stuff.
