    So instead of saying "that douchebag Billy Corgan" I'm now supposed to say "that douchebag William Corgan"? That really doesn't have the same ring to it. It's nowhere near as catchy. Perhaps someone should let him know.

    Respectfully here, the amount of bashing on here of Billy Corgan continues to blow my mind. None of you have met the guy, or had a chance to get to know him. I found him to be very gracious, and appreciative of fans. Having an ego is normal, but calling him names, and judging a guy like this just sucks. We (PJ people/humans) are much better than this. C'mon.... :roll:

    I'm a huge fan of Billy's music, but I know first hand the guy almost like, it's hard to explain, he speaks his own language.

    lots of artists are jerks. damien rice is. dylan most likely isnt warm and cuddly to fans. doesnt mean their music itself has anything to do with it.

    ive never understood the sort of reasoning that just because an artist is a jerk, you hate their music. huh? doesnt make any sense.

    It is not my intention to judge. I am a fan of Billy and Smashing Pumpkins music. Hell, I even dig his solo album! Just think it's a little silly after all this time to make a change. Yes, it's his right to do so, it's his name, but he's always been known by Billy.

    I don't get it either man. When my name on here was Billy Pumpkin, people would bash ME just for that! It was ludicrous. I'm also of the notion that not one person here knows him personally. Knowing someone in the media is not knowing someone.
