Done...not sure if mugshot will be okay but no time to tart myself up and take a picture right now. If the one I sent really doesn't work I'll try again this week

There have to be rules if you want a quality product. We're not just "tossing" this thing together. Each rule is in place for a reason. They're all laid out ahead of time so that ppl won't have to re-submit multiple times. I've received pics from ppl in thumbnail size (80x80!) / group shots with everyone in a tight huddle / hand covering half their face with a gang sign / ppl in the background wearing neon hats, thereby distracting from the person in the portrait / where they're so small or blurry in the pic that you can't even tell if they're human / zoomed in so much you can see their pores / of themselves in kindergarten (like 25 yrs ago!) / etc. And this is with the rules already established... imagine what we'd get if we didn't make rules

Look guys, we know it'll take a little work, but it will all be worth it in the end. This will be a full-color, 100% fan-dedicated, UNIQUE (remember, this has never been done before, for any band), kick-ass momento when it's finished, AND ALL FOR A GOOD CAUSE! We have almost 70 volunteer staff members working hard behind the scenes to make sure this yrbook is something we're proud of, & not some piece of crap that ppl just discard. Take another look at the rules (step #5), we're really not being that strict... just submit a photo that's laid out like a traditional yrbook mugshot, & make sure the size & quality are good enough, that's all (in a nutshell)

*I do wish we could make it simpler, cause we're def looking for more participation!*

I dont understand how people are finding this hard or that there's too many rules. Just follow the steps!

Not the prettiest picture of me but Im recovering from a hernia operation and haven't seen much daylight recently (thats my excuse!)

Hi Lorna,

The last photo we received from you was on 2/11, & it was still too small (1095x1000 pixels). The width is OK, but the height is too short (we need at least 900 wide by 1350 tall). Also, since it's the same photo as the first submission, did you "resize" it larger on your photo editor? When you do that, the photo loses quality... if your photo is too small, you really need to choose a different one altogether. Resizing it larger will still result in a bad print.

I thought I sent you an email about this (from <!-- e --><a href="mailto:mugshots@fanyearbook.com">mugshots@fanyearbook.com</a><!-- e -->), did you get that? If not, let me know. This is a newly created email address for this project, & I just want to make sure emails are getting through. There's also of course the possibility that your's got lost in the shuffle, since I had sent you an email about the 1st photo the day before. Either way, thanks for asking us, so that we could let you know... we currently do not have a mugshot of you that can be used.

Yeah I did recieve that and I did try again with the right dimensions but like you mention, I did crop it in photo editor. Does it have to be portrait shape, or can it be landscape? I have one more usable photo if it can be landscape set-up, every other photo I have of me has a wine in my hand or the cat!!

I'm sorry, I thought I had sent you another email about the 2nd photo submission (but I can't confirm that... until today my email account didn't have the option of setting up a "sent" folder, haha). Anyway, it doesn't have to be sent in portrait shape, but we will edit it after you send it in to be portrait layout (not landscape) so that all the mugshots in the Class Photos section print out the same. So, try cropping your photo to a 2:3 (or 4:6) portrait ratio, & if the dimensions are too small at that point (they need to be at least 900 pixels wide by 1350 tall), then you'd be best off taking a new photo (our first suggestion bullet in Step #5).

I'll actually be taking a new one of myself to submit also, cause all the ones I like of myself have other ppl in them. So you're def not the only only one in this situation

1) Please READ the steps below before actually doing them. You will need to take a proper photo, have it ready for upload, and have the requested information gathered / ready for submission.

2) Go to https://www.yearbookordercenter.com/ and enter order # 13732, then click “Continue.”

3) Click “Upload Photos” on the right, then click “Yes” to continue to eShare.

4) Enter your info, read and agree to the terms & conditions, and click “Browse for Images.”

5) Select your personally-owned portrait from your hard-drive or other media. GUIDELINES:
-we strongly recommend you take a new pic, so that it’s current and meets these specifications

-crop to a 2x3 aspect ratio, in a vertical (portrait) position

-taken in front of a solid-colored background, if possible
-cross between a passport photo and a yearbook pic, make it nice
-do NOT crop it tightly, we will need some room to edit for uniformity
-photos that do not meet the above criteria can not be used in the yearbook

6) Click “OK” to confirm the upload.

7) Fill out the form beneath your photo with the following information:
-In the "Grade(s) of students" field, type in your country.
-In the "Student(s) shown" in picture field, type in your full name, followed by (mugshot). Example: “Colleen Palacios (mugshot)”
-In the "Description" field, type in your city & state / province, and OPTIONALLY: your most-used online handle (such as TenClub username).
-Also in the "Description" field... we are taking a poll of the participants to possibly be used for a “fun stats” type of page, so please include more info (also OPTIONAL):
*your age as of August 27, 2011
*your occupation
*1st PJ show you attended
*favorite PJ show you attended
*your favorite venue that PJ has played
*your favorite PJ album
*your favorite PJ song
*your favorite PJ lyric
*your favorite PJ band member
*your favorite piece of PJ memorabilia or merchandise
-ONLY 250 CHARACTERS ALLOWED IN THE "DESCRIPTION" FIELD, SO BE CONCISE WITH YOUR INFORMATION!

8) Finally, click “Submit Image Information.”

9) Deadline for class photo submissions: MARCH 23, 2011.
