in “The Engagement” when Jerry and George are on the phone talking about the Yankee game, Jerry says “Mattingly just singled!!” But George has to get off the phone to watch Mad About You with Susan. 

In “The Wink” at the beginning of the episode George has an inter office envelope from the Yankees that has a bunch of signatures on it and Kramer asks George “Is that Don Mattingly’s signature?”. 

I was really bored during the Covid lockdowns. 🤣

We've done this sort of thing before in this thread. Let's try to name all athlete references. I'll start with five off the top of my head (not counting Mattingly which we've done, and Keith Hernandez/Roger McDowell because that's so obvious) and you guys can add if you want.

-Kramer punching Mickey Mantle after giving Joe Peptitone some chin music

I always liked the shot of Lawrence Taylor looking up towards the stands when the PA announcer says there's a call for Joel Rifkin.

Incidentally...that actual game took place on Sunday Night football. Eagles/Giants....I believe it could have been opening weekend in 1990 ish.

Yep, the second home run was an inside the park that was changed to a triple and an error.  Kramer tried to wrestle the birthday card (which was framed) from a sick kid.
