Anyone else as excited for "Several Shades of Why"?

I'm looking soooo forward to this album. J Mascis is one of my favorite artists and that track "Not Enough" that was available for download was pretty damn good.

J is outstanding in all he does and in some ways has gotten better with age.

Martin and Me was a fun album but it is going to be great to hear this new acoustic one.

It comes out in March right?

It is probably my most anticipated album of the year that i can think of off the top of my head.

Didn't know about it. Thanks for the heads up. An acoustic album? Sounds like fun. I actually really liked Martin and Me. Loved the cover of the Smiths "Boy with the Thorn in his Side".

Any idea if the tour is going to be acoustic? He's doing a show out here with the Black Heart Procession.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

I saw a J Mascis "acoustic" show about 9 years ago or so

He had his acoustic guitar hooked up to his effects pedals and would basically turn it into an electric distorted guitar for parts of the songs

As for your question. No i am not sure what the tour will be

** by the way i didnot know he was touring thansk for the heads up i just got my ticket to the atlanta show :)

Look's like the Echo Park show for me!

The album drops in March, and apparently it's "mostly" acoustic...so... :)

So the new album is really cool. I caught him live last night and it was excellent as always. I think that was the 7th time i've seen either J Masics Solo, J Mascis and the Fog, or Dinosaur Jr.

epic as always. Loved hearing Alone live again. He played lots of old dino songs and a couple solo tunes (AMMARING!! :) )Great time as always with J

SWEET!  If I recall correctly, my order said something about a flexi.  This that what "Crushed is" or is it a regular 7".

    So stoked!

Yes Crushed is the flex record.  According to the Discogs entry, it looks like multiple covers for the flexi-disc.

Sounds great! The pressing is good as well, flat and quiet in-between tracks.  Of course the music is loud, distorted and lots of guitar compression, such is the J. Mascis sound.  Any fan of Dino, will love these guitar jams! Highly recommend! Thanks!  I love my old Pioneer PL-570, she's a beast and 45 years old, keeps pumping out the jams!
