well sense you seem to be so knowledgeable on networks and stories that FOX has invented
could you please give us an example of a invented story by fox, but if your banging on FOX just to be part of the club here on the train then no explanation is needed, I understand totally.

Godfather.
Just a for instance.... they bank-rolled a HUGE "grass roots" rally in Washington DC. That cost tens of thousands of dollars to mount and Fox News promoted the LIFE out of it for months, all the while pretending that it was "moms and dads and concerned citizens" who'd thrown it together.
They then created the "story" that no other network covered it. Totally bogus, all the major networks and cable networks did massive coverage of it, but the "only Fox mentioned it" became part of their "poor lonely me" mantra for a while.
There are countless instances of Fox news making stories up or intentionally getting them wrong. Every time a Republican is caught cheating on his wife, stealing money or sucking cock in a men's washroom, Fox News "accidentally" puts a "D" or "Democratic Congressman" next to his name.
I'm not giving liberal news a pass... there's warping on both sides. But Fox news is FAR and AWAY the worst offender.0 -
I'm going to keep my opinions about fox news to a minimum, but as someone closely involved with the sexual abuse survivor community and lots of troubled teens, I do have an observation.
By and large, I support planned parenthood- I support providing girls and women with birth control and sexual education. However, I do think they, and other agencies that provide reproductive health care to teenagers, are willing to overlook the circumstances under which these girls come to them. And since basically everyone who works in health care is a mandated reporter (someone who must report suspected child abuse, for fear of criminal and civil penalites), this is unacceptable.
A few years ago in my community, an eleven-year-old girl was brought to planned parenthood by her mother, pregnant and with an STI. From a mandated-reporter point of view, that's suspicious as hell. Legally, eleven-year-old can't give consent to sex, but in their minds they can. But if her partner was more than three years older than she is, it is considered child abuse and must be investigated as such. No one investigated, CPS wasn't notified, and a few years later the girl was shot dead by her "boyfriend" in his late twenties.
I understand how providing contraception or abortions to women and girls who's lives are completely out-of-control can be seen as throwing up a sort of fire wall- "there's nothing I can do to help these people, but I can keep them from having babies they can't care for". That's far from the best way of looking at things, but probably not the worst, either. But a better way is to pay attention to the whole patient, not just the parts below the waist, and try to at least do what the law mandates them to do. I've also heard a lot of people who work in the child abuse/ at-risk youth fields who say that reproductive health providers- not just planned parenthood- tend to turn a blind eye to youth who come for services who are being sexually abused. There's a lot of ignorance about child sexual abuse in the medical field, but reproductive health care providers, especially, should get a crash course.
I do suspect the video on Fox news is heavily edited. But I also wouldn't be surprised if it contains a small kernel of truth, and that is upsetting.she holds the hand that holds her down, she will rise above!0 -

P.S. What a fuckin' world that we have to actually write this to each other.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZa5wyN0UBcI honestly don't take any news station to heart, like I said it's just fun to read and to get a general Idea of whats going on, usually if one of you have another source on a subject I always listen and never attack the sorce....unless it's like the national inquirer.
anyway it's all good.

never attack the source???
please tell me you at least question objectively the source of your information. that seems the prudent thing to do imo.hear my name

I question everything Cate and believe and trust few and little on ANY news and internet sources, this place is very one sided so the fun of this place sometimes is to run it up the flag pole and see who salutes, the funny thing about any news source is that it is based on some truth...kinda

Actions speak louder than words Godfather, and you continually cite Fox News for threads you make up. Therefore, although I know you can seem open-minded once in a while since you do seem to actually read and contemplate some views different than your own, you continually go back to a news source that's known to blatantly report "news" that's completely in line with the Republican ideology. If you started citing more credible news sources, I actually may give you more of a chance.0 -
there again Cate you and other people on here want everybody to live and think like you do "the Democrat" way of thinking, I don't like being a follower,I call it like I see it or feel it Dem or Repub or what ever else is out there, you guys can have your party lines I'm just trying to make my way through life the best I can.
we all think for our selfs and because I don't follow another's way of thinking does not mean I 'm wrong,
and this FOX trip you guys keep complaining about is kinda petty in my opinion. it's a big world out there with lots going on we gotta keep an open mind and question why.
