I'm not so sure about this. They put like 6 leftover songs from Binaural on Lost Dogs. How much more can there be? I know people have all these supposed songs that were recorded, but we have no idea of knowing if these were just riffs or complete songs or anything at all.
Also, I am hopeful for future releases, but as I said, I am not going to get my hopes up. No offense, but the people on this board should be a little more in the same boat. Over the past 20, and probably more specifically, 10 years, there have been so many rumors, even things that came straight from band members mouths, of things that were gonna happen, that never actually do. So while I hope it happens, I will believe it when I see it, and not worry too much about it until there is an announcment. However, the good news is, the Vs and Vitalogy thing seemed to come together pretty quickly, so, anytime theres a little downtime, and the guys in the band are in the mood, there is always a possibility. I am very excited if there is a 1995-1998 box set. I think it should be called "The Jack Irons Special"words seem so out of place.

Based on yesterdays combined VS/Vitalogy 93-95 Super Duper boxset...I'd have to assume that we can expect a 96-98 box containing No Code/Yeild as well...and finally a 2000-2002 box containing Binaural/Riot Act.
That would complete the Sony albums and that's pretty much as far as this is probably going to go.
This is probably more of a Sony thing than it is a Pearl Jam thing.
I agree with this. I think Ten was the only album that can justify a stand alone deluxe box set. The rest of the albums will be doubled up just like Vs./Vitalogy. The interesting thing is now that each deluxe set has included a live concert what will be the "epic/rare live show" for the No Code/Yield box and Binaural/Riot Act box?
No Code/Yield- Maybe Randalls Island, NY 1996
Binaural/Riot Act- ??
A lot of shows to choose from....0 -

If they keep with the pattern.
I wonder what live show will be released for Binuarl/Riot Act box since we basically have official bootlegs for pretty much every show on these tours.
Maybe they'll release the Bellingham Washington Show...Eddie w/ C-Average TFC show... or the Eddie Bowling Alley Gig!!!
Maybe we'll get the notorious UKE album instead of a live album!!!
Who the fuck knows...We're obviously getting ahead of ourselves.
These releases are probably years down the road.. So I'm just going to enjoy the ride and not try to put the cart before the horse.
My fingers are crossed though.0 -
As for concerts for future releases, I am thinking...
No Code/Yield - 09.11.1998 NY, NY MSG.
Binaural/ Riot Act - ??? What are some unreleased shows from this era?
Pearl Jam/ Backspacer - 08.02.07, Chicago, The Vic! (only problem is, no Backspacer songs) or, again, what are some unreleased shows from this era that include Backspacer songs?words seem so out of place.

If even an album needed to be remastered, it's Binaural. It sounds awful. Those songs sound 100x better live. They sound like demos on the album.<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jmgphotos/sets/72157600802942672/">My Pearl Jam Photos</a>

No. Just no.
Binaural sounds amazing through a decent pair of headphones. If your not listening to it like that then your not listening to it at all. It's a unique album with a unique sound and vibe.0 -

I have listened to it through great headphones. Sorry, I don't buy into the gimmick. No wonder PJ never worked with Tchad Blake again.<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jmgphotos/sets/72157600802942672/">My Pearl Jam Photos</a>

While I agree it will be a little while til the next one, I do think they will eventually continue and complete the sets over time. I think the "not looking back" that Ament meant was that they want to take a break from the past, do the future for a while, but I am pretty sure they will dip into the vaults again when the time is right. And I am sure they have some material they will be able to throw in there, and plenty of it.
And while I am patient, and looking forward to all the great things coming our way, I am also looking forward to and excited for the future deluxe sets!
I have these albums on cd, but most not on vinyl, so it's worth it to me right there!

What do we think the odds are that No Code & Yield will be re-released in the original packaging? If the remastered No Code comes without the double gatefold and polaroids I might just skip it and hunt down a second hand copy of the original.

One thing we are forgetting with Binaural is that The whole album was originally mixed by T Blake, but the band weren't happy with about half of the mixings and got Brenden Obrien to mix some tracks (breakerfall etc, mainly the faster songs are by obrien). Apparantly, they weren't heavy enough originally.
They could add those T Blake original mixes in the box set, i'd love to hear them, bet they sound great! Personally I think they should of let T Blake do his thing on Binaural rather than getting Brenden involved as well (even though brndon is probably my fav producer) and that includes putting Fatal on the Album, which was apparantly Tchad Blakes favourite song from the sessions. Personally I prefer Blakes mixes of the slower songs than obriens mixes of the faster songs which can sometimes sound a bit muddy I think.
Binaural has potential to be special, as does No Code I think, both very creative albums.London 29-10-96, London 29/30-5-00, London 20-4-06, Reading 27-8-06, London 18-6-07, London 11-8-09, London 18-8-09, London 25-6-10, Berlin 30-6-10 / PJ20 3/4-9-11, Manchester 20-6-12, Amsterdam 26/27-6-12, EV-London 30/31-7-12, EV-Orlando 27-11-120 -

because the folks who did the beatles remasters actually took there time (years!) and actually remastered the music, not simply made them louder like brett eliason was talking about on PJ radio
i have the ten box and i ordered the new box, but mostly just for collection purposes, not because i want a louder version of two albums that sound fine"If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: The only proof he needed for the existence of God was music." KV Jr.0
