Doesn't everyone already have these albums? Why all the excitment to buy something that you already own just in a new box? :?
Give me a new "Lost Dogs 2" album with the still unreleased/rarities and I'd be a lot happier than buying 2 albums that I already own simply because they have been remastered. Frankly they were good enough when they released them first and they still sound good enough today.

I heard that too...but come on!.....not all of us were willing to go on eBay and pay $200 for a single album....so i am very much looking forward to the vinyls being released with all kinds of extra goodies for much better prices than you would pay in the secondary market.....and just thought of No Code & Yield (and Binaural & Riot Act) coming together in one awesome set makes me feel like a kid before Christmas!!

But they could just make the original vinyls available in greater numbers and sell them at the normal price of an LP as well.

I don't believe they're doing any remastering to Vs. or Vitalogy, so I wouldn't expect any on the future releases either.

I agree it's a little premature to talk about this, although I desparately need these two on vinyl. 8-)

Hmmm, gonna buy me Vitalogy 2LP and that's it. And maybe Yield.

Regarding the extra tracks I'm afraid all the (interesting) outtakes are already out there (B-sides, Lost Dogs and the leaked collection).

    How could they remaster perfection?

well, sometimes "remaster" is just a way or "freshening up" the sound of an old album...not really changing the sound of it...i'm sure that's what's up with VS & Vitalogy.

Word. I'm with you, particularly the bit I've highlighted. I mean it's all good. If the guys want to do this then it's great that they can, it's their stuff etc but they're a lot of money & going to stay on my 'when I win the lottery' list, ie dream list.

I would love for the other albums to be released, but I am not gonna count on it. As Jeff said, him and Ed were kind of over looking back when they finished this one up. Also, this ends their real popular period. So, while they could put some pretty packages together for the 10 Club, they would have to know that re-releases of the other 4 sony albums, arent going to draw a lot interest from the non-crazies.

A No Code/ Yield reissue would be amazing, just because I would like to hear any extra songs they may have. The band claims to sort of be out of unreleased stuff, and to be honest, the Vs and Vitalogy reissue kind of confirms that there might not be that much out there. However, I am all for alternate versions, I love that sort of stuff, so even if they don't have many or any finished unreleased songs, I am more than happy to hear alternate versions, demos, stuff like that. And Yield is my favorite album, with No Code being right up there, so I have a feeling if they put those two together we could get something really special. And we would probably get a soundboard 1998 show, and its about time for that.
words seem so out of place.

Well I remember Kelly Curtis specifically stating that the band was going to re-issue all of the albums.

Based on yesterdays combined VS/Vitalogy 93-95 Super Duper boxset...I'd have to assume that we can expect a 96-98 box containing No Code/Yeild as well...and finally a 2000-2002 box containing Binaural/Riot Act.

That would complete the Sony albums and that's pretty much as far as this is probably going to go.

This is probably more of a Sony thing than it is a Pearl Jam thing

Whether or not these future releases will be as comprehensive as the rest remains to be seen.

The Jeff interview definatley eludes to the band being "over the whole looking back thing" Eddie made a similar remark during that baseball interview from last week stating that "If they keep looking in the rearviewmirror...they're going to crash".

Personally I don't expect the No Code/Yeild or Binaural/Riot Act box until after the band has put out some new material, and toured behind the album, before they re-start the process of digging through the backpages again.

    +1

While I'm happy with the box sets, when it comes to the vinyl, I'd rather have the original masters with the original artwork than the remastered ones with new art. For these releases so far it doesn't bother me as I already had Ten-Vitalogy on vinyl, so these are nice additions to a collection, but I really still hope to one day get my hands on an original masters with original artwork for No Code and Binaural to complete the collection without sacrificing my children.
