Don't you pay VAT on (almost) every item you buy? The difference here is that the original (international) price quoted is tax exclusive. If you don't have a threshold on imports (or it's too low) then of course you have to pay VAT on this order.

First misinformation about the number of CDs in the box set, and now the price gets bumped up overnight?! 10C being their usual efficient selves I see! I'm no 10C-basher (never had a reason to, personally), but...seriously...how difficult can it be to proof-read such a small amount of text and ensure that info/prices are correct before launching a new range of products like this?! It's the same every time - people scratching their heads...mass confusion and panic. And it really doesn't need to be this way! Here's hoping that some of the extra revenue from the increased membership fees will go towards running a tighter ship around here

Yeah vat is chargeable on everything we buy (except things such as food and baby clothes) yet when I buy things from a web page (we assume here each Sony office is selling in each country - which was to avoid extra charges) in the Uk I don't expect vat to be on top of the price quoted...

So yeah maybe this was an initial mistake but really, that is once again a novice mistake bordering on incompetence. In fact it fucking well stinks....

It's probably a Sony error in fairness .. But the inability to come here and put the record straight is piss poor. Remarkable in that they responded instantly to anyone saying 'i can't order as I'm in x country' fixed most instantly to grab those orders.....

Fuck it. Glad I didn't order yet. Pre ordering round here gets you nothing but grief and delays.

It seems unlikely unless things change... But then 10c will be in the bad books again for claiming exclusivity in order to get sales....

If it's now sold elsewhere I'm thinking many people will not be happy

That's what I'm thinking too... They probably thought "Hey, fuck it man, we can charge these bastards extra and nothing they can do about it!" :evil: :evil: :evil:

Exactly why I bit the bullet today and did. I opted not buy the Ten Box set when it came out and just bought the vinyl later from local record store for 20 or 30 bucks. Really regretting not getting the Box when it came out and am probably going to get it now, even though I have the vinyl. Saw it last week in a store think it was 170 or so....the wait in getting this is going to be painful. :roll:
