    We don't do Valentines Day, but I always appreciate flowers. OOOhhhh flowers in one of your pretty blown glass vases would be beautiful!

    Great idea, you can never go wrong with a massage. Also - one year I woke up and my husband had red crepe paper streamers all through the house, I mean everywhere. It looked amazing and I realized he'd stayed up super late to put them all up.

    I did this for hubbys 30th birthday (nearly 15 years ago). I gave him a pile of vouchers for a specific thing that is very popular with men (I have heard). I think he's still got some somewhere :think: ..... maybe I should throw them out.

    Seriously though, you could do a kind of treasure hunt, with nice little gifts and instructions on how to find them. The first thing to be found could be something beginning with 'L' and it has a clue on how to find the next thing with it, next item something beginning with 'O' and the clue, and so on until she finds all the treasure and it spells 'Love You'.

    After 14 years of marriage we decided to dump Valentine's Day last year. Who needs a made-up, profit-driven hassle of a "holiday" to celebrate your loved one with over-priced flowers, chocolate, teddy bears and inflated restaurant prices?

    You should be doing stuff like that throughout the year instead of saving it for one day.

    Take her where you went on your first date, if possible...or somewhere that will remind her of when you first met... giftwise, something she mentioned in passing, that she didn't think you even listened to her say... Good luck. You must be doing something right, married for 15 years. Kudos to still wanting to do something special for her. I'm sure any effort will be appreciated.
