I got the album in June and it is amazing. "Dear Rosemary" is my favorite track right now, but there really isn't a bad song on the album. "Walk" is my least favorite, but even that song is good. There's not a skipable song on the album. I like that the album is heavy from start to finish but each song manages to have its own unique elements that keep them from sounding too similar and repetitive. After catching the last bit of "Back and Forth" on Palladia, I'm amazed that the album sounds so energized when it appears as though they recorded everything sitting down. It has a "live" feel to it--as if they were jumping around on a stage instead of sitting in chairs being poked by children who want to go swimming :)
I like your analysis of the album. "Dear Rosemary" is also my favorite on the album.

How many of you back in the Nirvana days knew Dave was awesome, before his awesome level went way up? Was listening to "Nevermind" and absolutely love his drumming, especially on Territorial Pissings and Stay Away.

Anyone know if there's an address for Foos for fan correspondence? I've been trying to find an addy for a while.

I never got to see the itunes live stream last week. Is it something that can still be viewed now?

And of course, Songs for the Deaf by QOTSA.

It was interesting to see how pissed Taylor & Nate were about this, but it sure was fucking awesome. Might be the best album of the 00's.

Someone on the thread talking about Mike joining Soundgarden on stage last night posted this pic of Dave in the crowd in the pit, just having fun and being a fan. This adds to his awesome level even more.
