Is Pearl Jam Disbanding?

I know they have taken time outs before but there is an unprecedented amount of solo work going on, no record deal, no tour, two random shows at Bonnaroo with no other future plans....Is something else going on here???

    Are they taking a "time out"?? News to me. Last I checked, they toured LAST YEAR (2007). Oh, and the YEAR BEFORE THAT (2006). And wait a minute, the YEAR BEFORE THAT (2005). Holy shit, they even played close to 20 shows the YEAR BEFORE THAT (2004). And shitloads the YEAR BEFORE THAT (2003).

    Like Eliot said they toured the past 5 years, and there are rumors of a tour this summer/fall and other rumors of them getting together very soon to start putting a new cd together.

    With that said... a simple "no" is the answer.
    And before his first step... He's off again...

    They've worked pretty solidly the last few years, they have young families now, and i guess they have to balance it out a bit more. I'm sure we will get to see them tour again when they are ready. No way do i think they are even close to being done, but the reality is they cannot and will not tour forever. Hopefully that won't be for a while yet :)

    yes you didnt hear? it was all over mtv man. bonnaroo is their last show forever, their next album will be called disbanded and will feature scott stapp on vocals to replace ed since he is a solo singer right now.

    YEP, it's over. they are done. never coming back ever. my friend steve's cousin's co worker's sister heard it from a guy on a bus that used to know pearl jam's bus driver's gas station attendant father. he said he read it in a press release that his niece was working on (she's pearl jam's lawyer's friend's daughter) that it's over

    WHAT THE HELL!! I've never heard anything about this before!!! it can't possibly be true if they are still doing festivals and stuff...believe me if it were true my life as I know it just IS NOT the same...it'S DEFINITLEY hard to believe every little thing that u hear or read and until it comes from a RELIABLE source then i'll believe it.

    Fair enough they're doing their own thing but as we ALL know this is something they've Always done, mind u as it's been said they've all got their little families now ( has jeff got kids??) and that's a priority for them now as well, but I myself can't see PJ throwing in the towel just yet..they've still got a lot to give to us fans who LOVE them

    How long this thread lasts now without getting the big lock. My source is hearsay but direct from the mouth of Ed on the set of Into The Wild. "The band is going through a divorce.." No I wasnt there but the source is direct. And credible.

    They're not going to be playing at 90?!?!? :eek: Seeing how often Ed forgets the lyrics now, I assume a show at 90 would just be a 2 hour mumble/drool fest. Too bad! It could be entertaining!
