I am all for artistic expression, and if the movie kids did not result in charges than I doubt this will, but if it can help take this god awful station off the air than I am all for it. MTV is a truly unique television station...I am not a believeer that violent movies make people violent and all that, but I do believe that when you blur the lines of reality and fiction danger can only follow.

    no way!

i saw a commercial for this the other day so i texted my buddy to watch it so we could share in the horror. god what an awful show. my bud and i both agreed there would be an uproar..and here it is.

it wasn't really the sex and drugs that offended me. that happens in highschool. it was the over the top dialouge that made juno seem possible. no one talks like this at such an age, and people that do need to be punched.

MTV should be a little more responsible. They have now made getting knocked up in high school cool and fashionable. Music and TV doesn't influence people?......Bullshit.

and this is why MTV and any program(knocked up etc.) like it should be stopped and as another poster said the people responsible for this kind of trash fired.

The Dead Kennedy's - M.T.V.-Get Off The Air

Fun Fun Fun in the fluffy chair
    Flame up the herb
    Woof down the beer
    [click!]
    Hi
    I'm your video DJ
I always talk like I'm wigged out on quaaludes
I wear a satin baseball jacket everywhere I go

My job is to help destroy
    What's left of your imagination
    By feeding you endless doses
    Of sugar-coated mindless garbage

    So don't create
    Be sedate
    Be a vegetable at home
    And thwack on that dial
If we have our way even you will believe
This is the future of rock and roll

    How far will you go
    How low will you stoop
To tranquilize our minds with your sugar-coated swill

You've turned rock and roll rebellion
    Into Pat Boone sedation
Making sure nothing's left to the imagination

    M.T.V. Get off the
    M.T.V. Get off the
    M.T.V. Get off the air
    Get off the air

See the latest rejects from the muppet show
Wag their tits and their dicks
    As they lip-synch on screen
    [ From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/d/dead-kenn ... yrics.html ]
    There's something I don't like
About a band who always smiles
    Another tax write-off
For some schmuck who doesn't care

    M.T.V. Get off the air
    And so it was
    Our beloved corporate gods
    Claimed they created rock video
Allowing it to sink as low in one year
As commercial TV has in 25
"It's the new frontier," they say
It's wide open, anything can happen
But you've got a lot of nerve
    To call yourself a pioneer
    When you're too god-damn conservative
    To take real chances.

    Tin-eared
    Graph-paper brained accountants
    Instead of music fans
Call all the shots at giant record companies now

    The lowest common denominator rules
    Forget honesty
    Forget creativity
    The dumbest buy the mostest
That's the name of the game

    But sales are slumping
And no one will say why
Could it be they put out one too many lousy records?!?

    M.T.V.-Get off the air!

If you got kids, tell them not to watch - job done, if progam isn't being watched it is dumped.

On another note - I find it incredibly ironic that the same people going on about tighter restrictions on what their kids can watch are generally the same ones who see nothing wrong with the current gun laws, and who can have access to them  , the worms are out of the can

i have heard the american version is really bad, as in obscene, but i am only familiar with the english version which from the bits and pieces i have watched it is quite interesting

its basicly a drama that follows a group of teenagers in Bristol, South West England, through the two years of sixth form and explores issues such as dysfunctional families, mental illness, sexual orientation identity, substance abuse and death

now i am sure the american version is much more glorified as even a few of my friends who watch the british skins and have seen the american one think it is really really graphic

How many of you have watched Jersey Shore?

Personally I haven't watched MTV since Sept 2001. See on the Real World there are no TV's, yet for some reason that fateful day the cast had a 13" TV on and they were watching the 9/11 attacks. Of course it later came out that their "reactions" were actually filmed after the fact, filmed for TV.

You seem to ignore the fact MTV is pushing the boundaries of child exploitation. The youngest actor on the show is 15, with most actors at 17. This is child pornography.

By the way, my position on gun laws in this country have no bearing on this argument. Perhaps you should educate yourself on the entire situation before commenting.

So a 15 year old actor with his shirt off qualifies as child pornography? Sounds to me more like U.S Conservatism getting all giddy over nothing.

ah, what would we do if we had no trivial sensationalist bullshit to bitch about?

I think there should be a reality show based on a bunch of ultra-sensitive social conservatives locked in a house, with the real world being force fed to them. That would be tv worth watching. Get grandma a lap dance, hot box the congregation, get some non-whites to move in next door.... fuckin A.

do you know the way to Llama school?

MTV has ever right to produce this stuff, but I certainly wouldn't watch it. i usually give art a lot of leeway when it comes to pushing boundaries..unfortunately this isn't art, simple solution would have been to use 18 year old actors...when taco bell calls you out...man you are in trouble

I stopped watching MTV when Headbanger's Ball was canceled. Although I have seen a few youtube episodes of Silent Library w/ the New York Giants offensive line. Now that is some very funny stuff!
