Albany had 3 cases at one location yesterday and I was able to get a few bottles. Drinking some and saving others.

Yes. I was surprised but I went to three beverage centers and all three had it. I grabbed 8 bottles

Olivers in Albany was selling 1 per customer but another center in Latham,NY had no limit.

I have been calling and emailing places for two months and no one has told me it is in NY. I have even been talking to the NY DFH rep .

  • BUY ONE OFF EBAY.

I got mine for $29. I can't get it here in MO, and it saves me all the bullshit of trying to drive around and find one.

Yep, it is in NY. Good Beer on 9th St. in the East Village had 24 bottles this afternoon, but they sold out in 5-6 hours. They did limit it to 1 bottle per person.

  • Finally had this. I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate that Sam (DFH owner) threw a real soft ball at this one. Having tasted Au Courant a few times I can tell he just slightly modified the recipe for that one and called it something new. Even the ratebeer guys are basically calling this an alias. I understand- new consumer group, busy brewery without much time or energy to experiment but man I wish this had been done by some other brewery or at least had more enrgy put into it.

Overall I dislike the beer but it was very tempting to drain pour the last bit of the bottle. There is nothing to this beer. "CoronaFish Head". Or maybe "Dogfishwieser" I have a second bottle and I'm contemplating giving it away.

I liked it. Just my opinion. It did taste like something familiar----not quite sure. It to me did not have the berry taste that others had mentioned, which I was thankful of. Was scared it was going to be like Seagrams.

I grabbed four bottles last night in Rochester, NY. They had gotten in a few cases earlier that day and there was probably two cases left by 4pm. I'll be cracking open my first bottle on Saturday night. I'm giving two away to friends and keeping my last for a special occasion.

  • I hope that special occasion is very soon as this beer will NOT taste any better with age. What little fruit will die off and there's not enough alcohol to make this thing last long.

Hi all. Just an FYI for all you NYers.

I work in the area and last night the Beer Table Pantry in the Lexington Corridor of Grand Central Station got a few cases of Faithfull Ale in. I picked up one bottle and as of about 20 minutes ago they still had a few unopened cases.

    Enjoy!

  • Has anyone had any experience in shipping the beer? Or shipping beer in general?

I'm looking to send a bottle to a friend but I've never done it and wasn't sure the best way to pack and how much it will cost to ship.

I would put it in one of those skinny rectangular boxes that wine is packaged in for gifts and bubblewrap the whole box. Then put it in another box.

Make sure it is under lock and key. I saved a 12-pack of my favorite Octoberfest a few years ago. In January I came home to discover my friends had thrown me a surprise party, which was awesome, but they had also helped themselves to my beer. That part wasn't as awesome. :|
