i hate how college football operates. the bowl system is the worst way to crown a champion in all of sports, at all levels.

people like to rip the BCS, but for the most part there have been the 2 best teams in the title game. A playoff would be cool, but I don't really think the 8th best team in football deserves a shot to win a title. I think an easy solution would be to stop allowing power conferences to schedule 1-AA teams.

I don't care either way, just give me games to bet on and I'm watching.

bottom line: college football has evolved only very slightly since richard nixon broke a tie in 1969.

edit---and i don't care if they get lucky with the 2 best teams...it would be more fun and more fair to give the other top teams a shot. a loss in september shouldn't mean your season is over. that's ridiculous to me.

I completely disagree with that. The college game is superior to the NFL IMO. Love the college rules (except for one knee is down).

Pat Kennedy out as Towson coach. About f'ing time

i was comparing it to college basketball dude.

and it has only slightly evolved since the 60's. they still have the same system minus a computer picking the national championship game.

"further proof of how much better march madness is compared to the bowl system. they're always trying to find ways to make it better. i love the sunday night game idea. it always seemed ilke the weekened ended abruptly."

Did anyone else watch the North Texas - Ark Little Rock game and catch the announcers comment?

ESPN announcer, "Their is a term for a team like Ark Little Rock, and it applies to most of my prom dates, not pretty, but effective"

As an Oregon State fan, I have to ask, why do you dislike the Pac 10? Just curious, not baiting for an argument.

He was warming up with the big ten quarterfinals last night, even in that dreadful wisconsin-penn state game, he was ready to yell as shot after shot clanked off the rim.

LOVE Gus Johnson. I think if they could somehow get him and Bill Raftery on the same broadcast team it would be legendary!
