  • NL East: Phils (but only about 92 wins - it'll be a struggle)
NL Central: Reds (team on the rise)
NL West: Rox (they won't screw it up at the end again)
NL WC: Brewers (this year is their only chance, so they'll go all out)

Improvement: Mets (they got rid of all the clowns, I think)
Disappointment: Braves (Uggla contract will haunt them for a long time)

AL East: Red Sox (will have better luck than LY)
AL Central: Twins (they just always find a way to win, even with Nick Punto)
AL West: Rangers (not getting Cliff Lee was a big blessing in disguise)
AL Wild Card: Rays (I love how everyone is counting them out)

    Improvement: Orioles
    Disappointment: Yanks

How can the Yanks be a disappointment when the entire baseball world has Boston winning the division and everyone is counting on the Yanks demise?

I think the Yanks will be just fine.

Yup. I still have the Bombers at 90+ wins again. I've lived on this Earth long enough to know that the Yankees are never out of it. It's coming down once again to us vs. them for the pennant. So is Cliff Lee pitching Game 6 in Fenway? The Yankees will be tough to beat if Lee pitches well in October. Oh, wait...

My beloved Houston Astros will actually improve this year. Lots of young talent on that team...but i think they're still 2-3 years away from winning the division.

    Hey now...

You're right though. They still have one hell of an offense, their bullpen is stacked and while their rotation is weak right now, there will be pitchers available and they have money to spend. Sergio Mitre will not be making 20 starts for the Yankees this year

I could easily see the Yanks winning games against Boston 16-11, 9-8, that type of thing. NY will destroy Baltimore, Toronto, and Tampa, probably split with Boston and end up with like 91 wins or something.

But at the end of the day, the Red Sox are like JWOWW's breasts...built for speed, built for power, built for endurance. Like a giant pick-up truck in one of those commercials during football games.
