Feeling a little sad.......

My Aunty has recently had surgery to remove a lump in her breast that was cancerous, initially being told it was only small and easily removed. I just got a phone call then informing me that it was bigger than first thought and she'll have to get the whole breast removed and her bones checked so it hasn't spread! :o The worst thing is, my Grandma was diagnosed with cancer and died this time last year, leaving my Grandpa alone after 60 years of marriage. He's lonley enough as it is without losing his daughter too, he's really beside himself. :(:( Sorry folks for a depressing thread but you know what they say, a burden shared is a burden halved or something like that.

    Things are really looking up in this area, as you know.

    Maybe you can look at it this way, that Grandma had to pass in order for your Aunt to check herself and have a life saved in time.

    I am going through the same with my mother, not breast but she has just had a lump removed, waiting now for tests :( all the best to you and yours.

    i know two women, good family friends, who had breast cancer, they are both happy and healthy now
    it'll be a tough time to get through so keep strong and hopeful
