i think every wedding i've been in i've gotten a flask or some kind of beer stein.

anyone have any other ideas of what i should get these people? trying to think of something original. not having much luck.

one of them doesn't drink either. if i go the flask-ish route, would it be weird to give them that, and the non drinker something else?

I was a groomsman (Best Man) back in October for one of my best friends who lives in Texas. He gave me a fully functional .44 caliber Civil War era replica pistol. Maybe you could go the firearm route. :D

I got mine tickets to a Rangers game and we all went together after the honeymoon. It was great hanging out at the game and drinking, etc.

I worked at a cutlery store years back. Knives are also a good option....a folding pocket knife, dual blade (serrated and straight) or a hunting knife, multi-tool. My favorite brands are Buck, Sog, and Spyderco. Too bad Buck doesn't make the Buck Tool anymore...well, at least look for it...beats out leatherman by a longshot.

    Spyderco: http://www.spyderco.com/catalog/list.php?filter=new

Maglights were really popular too, I like Surefire better though

    Guns, knives and Chinese stars.

Mix with alcohol at an open bar.

Surely guarantees a reception that people will talk about for years. Or at least until the mandatory sentences are served and the bridal party members are paroled.

  • I gave all my groomsmen different gifts as one other person said earlier. just don't do anything engraved. no guy likes to be sipping from a mug or a flask that it says a wedding date or "love your (dude) friend" on it.

A good pen or pocket knife is good too!

My favorite groomsmen gift (object) was also a Tumi wallet; 2nd place winner was personalized cufflinks (sterling silver with initials engraved). Another groom sent us all "beer of the month" 12packs for 6 months, where the boxes all contained 4 different microbrews delivered right to your door. That one was very original (and delicious). Good luck...

i think i'm leaning towards money clip right now.

the beer of the month thing is an awesome idea...but i got a recovering alcoholic and a guy who refuses to drink anything but miller lite though. oh well :x :x :x :x

i guess i should get the best man something else right?

  • i liked what my cousin did... he got them all nike track jackets... since he met each of his groomsmen in either grade school, high school, or college the color of the jacket corresponded to the school colors and it had the school name on the back... graduation year on the sleeve

maybe too custom... and theres gotta be a similar relationship between all groomsmen... but it looked cool IMO

  • (Back when I was still planning to get married...) All of us men were going to wear Converse with our tuxedos. The idea was that the tuxes were rentals, but the shoes were for them to keep. Kinda cheapy but I thought it was a cool idea.
