    I don't like it either, too many wankers who think they have the right to go out into the public and act like damn fools! I have a little one and we live a couple of blocks from the beach where they have fireworks. I would love to (one day, too young now) take her down there but it's the idiots who come from other suburbs, get pissed and ruin for other people who make me scared to take her.

    I refer to it as amateur hour. All I want to do is hang out with some friends at their house and if that doesn't pan out, I usually just go see a movie. Only time I ever did anything major besides work on New Year's Eve was in 2007 when I saw Chris Rock at MSG.

    NYE is the shit for me every year. I drink too much and make out with random women and lately it seems those random women start making out with each other if you ask them to. Yeah, what a bummer. Its no fun at all.

    I think, as with any holiday, it's only as good as the people you share it with. At least this is not a holiday in which we are forced to be with family. My band is playing a show that night, for the 4th New Years in a row, so I am definitely looking forward to it......not looking forward to the next morning though.

    yeah, i think it is majorly overblown. I like sitting around and just drinking a few beers with friends.
    I'm supposed to be heading to Atlanta Friday morning and meeting friends for the Zac Brown Band concert but I don't see me making it. The Peach Bowl is also that night and I assume there will be tons of folks in the area who aren't there for the game or the show, so I'd just as soon sit my ass at the house, get drunk and wake up in my own bed without having to face six hours on the interstate with a hangover come saturday morning
    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

    They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

    yeah im not a fan of doof doof either. they do have some good mashups friday afternoons though. they of course have their little pets but id rather listen to that than commercial radio. and im particularly fond of album of the week. and short fast loud. oh oh and richard kingsmill.... im totally in love with that guys voice. :roll: :lol:

    It's usually a pain in the ass for everyone to agree on something to do and then it usually ends up being not as fun as you thought i would have been. Oh well....I'll be out again this year. The nice part is that it's a bar about 3 blocks from my place.
