i'm pretty sure the Ed shows have a very strict no camera policy.

You can only get the back two rows at Adelaide 2 now, still plenty in Canberra.

I'm really pissed about the no camera rule. I just got an awesome new camera. I was keen to see how good the photos would be.

i can understand why there are no camera's allowed...being the only person on stage and being flashed by a few hundred cameras every second has to be a little off-putting...granted its going to happen anyway...but maybe they should just make it that you should turn the flash off

If security even catch glimpse of a camera then you're out. They even go nuts when you check your phone. I've seen how twitchy security are at Ed shows.
My advice is to sit back, relax, and enjoy what is sure to be one hell of a show

So you can't even take photos with your phone? I figured at least we'd be able to do that. Bugger. Oh well, yep, I'm sure going to be there to enjoy the show & maybe won't even think of it will be so overwhelmed & a melted pile on the floor. ;)

I have tickets to the 1st 2 shows for Sydney. I think that my partner for the 2nd show will be pulling out on me.......possibly, not confirmed. I am willing to sell the 1 ticket, sitting next to yours truly, for cost price......or possibly lower. I don't want to be an asshole scalper on eBay and charge someone $500. Anyway, if you are interested contact me via tardo_2001@yahoo.com and I will keep you up to date with whether the ticket will be available or not. Only people who are serious please. I don't want a vacant seat next to me, that would be just a waste.

I am not sure how good the seats are as I purchased them through tenclub and won't find out until I pick them up on the night.

Question for the Aussies...

What are the odds that Ticketmaster will drop more tickets before the shows (specifically Sydney)?

I made the trip down to Australia for U2 last month and fell in love with your country, and am now considering coming down for Ed.

Are there generally people with extras outside the venue before the show? Not too familiar with Australian ticket re-sale practices.

Anyway, any help is appreciated.

Hmmmmm, not sure sorry. You could get a ticket for Perth's show or one of the refunded tickets. There are some scalpers out the front sometimes but not always. :)

If you haven't come over West before. Get Perth tickets and explore the South West for a different perspective - you'll be very glad you did.

I imagine there will still be the odd 10c spare floating around and people trading/selling tm tickets for almost all the other shows. I'd feel confident you could secure a ticket for a reasonable price.

Also I've got a competition running at http://ev2011.com.au where the prize is two good seats at the Sunday Sydney show. You might get lucky!

:)

I'm kinda surprised a 3rd Melbourne show wasn't added, especially with Brisbane getting 3 shows and of course Sydney as well. Any idea why, less demand, bigger venue etc?
My PJ shows:
London 28/10/96, Las Vegas 11/7/98, London 29/5/00, Nurnburg 11/6/00, Prague 14/6/00, Salzburg 18/6/00, Verona 20/6/00, Milan 22/6/00, Zurich 23/6/00, New York 8-9/7/03, Boston 11/7/03, Reading Festival 27/8/06, Shepards Bush 11/8/09, Berlin 15/8/09, Manchester 17/8/09, London 18/8/09, Dublin 22/6/10, Belfast 23/6/10, London (HRC) 25/6/10, Alpine Valley (PJ20) 3-4/9/11, Manchester 20-21/6/12, Leeds 8/7/14, Milton Keynes 11/7/14 To be continued....

There wasn't enough time for Ed to do a 3rd Melbourne show. Weird Al Yankovic is performing at The Palais the day before the 1st show, and if Ed decided to perform a 3rd show on the Saturday then he'd be playing 5 nights in a row.

I'm starting to wonder whether Eddie's Brisbane shows will be going ahead now. QPAC in Brisbane is looking like being underwater before the week is over and if it does happen I'm guessing it would take months to fix the damage. :?

yeah, i think it will well and truly go under it is right on the river and footage i say a few hours ago show the water almost at the venue, and with the rate the water is rising and expected to peak tomorrow i think it is inevitable.

they have already cancelled shows happening now and i guess for the next week. i guess there may be a venue change in the next month or too, if it suffers considerable damage.

hopefully everything gets straightened out before then....I know a lot of people last year were worried about the european shows because of the volcano... either way I'm sure they will work around it by rescheduling or moving to a different venue....hopefully those waters stop rising soon :?

What a tragedy... just got an email from a friend in Brisbane. Hang in there, guys. Good luck to you, hope you get your EV show one way or another, and hope you and your homes will stay safe.
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.
