I am convinced that Javier Bardem is a the newest bad ass on the scene. I just recently watched a 2004 movie from Spain entitled Mar Adentro (The Sea Inside).

    maradentro.jpg

Bardem is flawless in it. He is incredibly underrated. Based on a true story...you should look up the wikipedia article and read the synopsis. It was probably the most moving movie I have seen since I watched "Milk". Which is another great one.

    So I'll recommend these:

    The Sea Inside (foreign)
    Milk

    6/12/08 - Tampa, FL

    9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1

I also recently watched Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and thought it was pretty damn awesome. Very cool production and integration of video game and comic references.

I could tell that Scott Pilgrim would be a movie some people liked, and some disliked.

Mar Adentro...yeah, incredible I thought. Get on that.

    At Close Range

1986- GREAT movie featuring some of Sean Penn's best work in my opinion. Also showcases a stellar performance from Christopher Walken as well. A very underrated film in my eyes
