who's being negative? people are just saying no one will be standing. my wall of death post was also a joke. a wall of death is were at hardcore concerts the pit splits in two, and then run at each other. so i don't think that would be happening, unless you want to try and start one.

Sorry took me back to the discussion a while back about why Aussie audiences just sit there at big gigs.

At the US shows you got searched for cameras as you went in. It might be more relaxed here though.
People that did get cameras in tended not to take photos until the encore, which worked well - you can understand how annoying it would get with flashes going off all the time in such intimate venues.

This is from my Ten Club confirmation email:

8. No cameras of any kind, recording or recording devices at all. If caught, your film, tapes, discs, smart cards, drives any type of recording will be confiscated and you'll be escorted out.

Well if we can't take cameras in there is nothing stopping us sneaking in a few photos with our mobile phones I suppose unless they have security guards all over the venue watching us .. but I doubt it.

I know what you mean about taking photos and recording. You become so obsessed with trying to get good photos / videos etc. that you almost miss out on the show.

I think there should be something before the first Brisbane show because it's also the first show of the tour. Someone was saying something about the Fox .. wherever that is.

The security for an Eddie Vedder Solo show will probably be quite different than a Pearl Jam show. Being a much smaller audience I'm guessing they will have more time to do a proper search. I'm not taking my camera with me but my new phone has a good one ..

I went to greenday in 04 at Acer Arena, and there was a reasonably good looking girl patting people down at the door. SO me being me, looking for a cheap thrill lined up at her 'girls only line' and then got directed to some bloke.

Ah right, of course. I didn't register you were talking about PJ shows not EV. Yeah I'm not going to risk it at all, I mean I might try a pic with my phone but they usually work out so crap I should just not worry about it & enjoy the show. I'm probably going to be in absolute la-la land anyway so over the moon & happy etc!!

From what I've heard from some of the US shows, I wouldn't take a camera. Not worth the hassle.

And I sure as hell won't be standing to applaud after every song. The shows are in theatres for a reason. And I don't want to look like a moron.

Tours getting closer now, hope all those in Brisbane enjoy the first run.

I went to a couple of Eddie's solo shows in the US and security were walking up and down the aisles telling people off for using their cameras and phones (even without a flash)... I wont bother taking my camera to the aussie ones...
