it seems like a vendetta for some. plenty of people are talking of selling tix and nobody says a word. not really neceessary for a whole lot of bad mouthing to be going on. - Rob - i meant no offence to you , i know the proceeds of the fundraiser are going to flood victims. I just have no time for nastiness. I don't talk crap about others and I don't want to read others talking crap when this is suppossed to be an anjoyable place to go.
The difference is that all the tickets on eBay are tickets sold via the general sale. This one is a Ten Club ticket. There are strict guidelines which refer to this.
Not much left in the general Ticketek sale for the Perth shows. It's a shame that Kylie is missing this.

Everybody all around the world feels saddened and distraught for the people affected by the terrible floods which have caused some terrible loss to the people of Queensland, and I'm personally doing something proactive about it, but to come on here and stick up for someone who's abusing their privileges as a Ten Club member, privileges which both you and I have paid money for, is just completely wrong.
I can guarantee that most people who are posting on here HAVE met the guilty party. Some are shocked by her actions, some...........not so.
Sending thought and prayers to you and your family in this difficult time.
Peace Love and Pearl jam???????? this crap sickens me ok what she did was outside 10c guidelines but can we honestly say no one else has ever done it? and to become such a personal attack is sad,i feel sorry for any new Pearl jam fans that are reading this instead of being introduced into a community that can be awesome and loyal and loving they witness a vandetta,i think we all need to wake up and move on
ok what she did was outside 10c guidelines but can we honestly say no one else has ever done it?
Sadly, yes others have done it. And those people have been dealt with the same. I have seen several threads and posts here pointing out 10 club members who have sold their tickets on eBay. It's against the rules, and is pretty much the only rule when it comes to tickets. Hopefully ten club can and has traced members that have broken the rules(including this one) so they can have their membership and there for their ticket privileges revoked.

With respect to all involved in this ebay ticket matter.
A public web forum is probably not the best place to openly discuss this - especially the public naming of a member and subsequent judgement of guilt. This is a prime case of subjudicy if a complaint has been made to the 10c and propbably slander either way. If anyone has a complaint it needs to be made to the 10 Club in private and then let them be the judge on this matter.
While I have no interest in this matter and believe in the common good character of the overwhelming majority of people on this forum and 10c, we have people questioning the motives and characters of those making the complaints and others questioning the motives and character of the member at the centre of this issue - not really a good situation for anyone. The polarisation of opinion does nothing other than put member against member, when this is solely for the 10c to address.
While rules are there for a reason, so is due process and none of us would like our names bandied around like this before absolute guilt is established or sanction determined by 10c. I'm sure we'd all like the same courtesy applied to us.
By the looks of things the named party is at least guilty of the crime in the recent past and so deserves to be named here. She may not be involved here and I'd guess some would be willing to offer an apology if needs be. If you don't sell tickets on ebay then you have nothing to fear about getting named and shamed as the rules seem pretty clear to most of us and I'd think this person would also be well aware of the dodgyness of these actions.

I haven't followed this situation closely enough and I don't personally know the people involved - but is this person selling their spare ticket above face value? Because if they're not, I'm not sure what they've done wrong.

You're not meant to re-sell 10c tix at all, even for face value. It's quoted further up the actual bit where they say that in ticket confirmation or whatever it is. Anyway it's up to 10C to deal with, I figure someone has told them about it or they've seen this thread etc so maybe(hopefully [jmho]) they've done their thing already.

Was the person selling both tickets or just the spare?
The fact we can only purchase ten club pairs forces us to 'sell' or trade our spare - and for me - it has been the catalyst for some great PJ experiences.
Cases in point, I bought a 10 Club to the 2010 Newark show but didn't have anyone to use my spare. Luckily for me I knew someone in Manhattan who was more than happy for me to offer him a ticket and gave me face value for it. He is a ten club member and we met through this site. We had a great night! Of course, if I'd been stuck with it, I would have come to this forum to find a member who may have wanted my spare.
For LA in 2009 I traded my LA3 for an LA4 with another 10 member and we both enjoyed each show together. Again, two awesome shows and a way to score what was the hottest ticket in town with great karma attached to it.
For the 2009 Aussie tour, I purchased (at face) 10C tickets for Sydney and Melbourne shows from 10C members who had a spare after I posted a request on this forum. For great shows and great times!
As far as I know this is all ok. The ticket trading between members is a major bonus of this community and is probably as an important part of this membership as purchasing the tickets in the first place. I know that there is a very good chance i can score a ticket to a PJ show almost anywhere in the world - and meet some cool 10 club members in the process.
That's my understanding too PA, trading between 10C members is aok & helps build this community imho but yeah this person went to ebay which is not ok is how I understand it, ok to trade within 10c but public selling not ok.

I just don't really understand why not. I mean, if you buy two tickets, you have to get rid of one. Surely the Tenclub understand that. If you sell it above face value then yeah, that's no good. What's the difference between selling your spare on Ebay for face value and selling it to your friend in person for face value? Or posting on this forum that you have a spare? If it is a policy (which I don't think it is... correct me if I'm wrong) that you must sell your spare to a Tenclub member only is ridiculous.
I haven't followed this situation closely enough and I don't personally know the people involved - but is this person selling their spare ticket above face value? Because if they're not, I'm not sure what they've done wrong.
It was first listed with a "Buy It Now" option higher than face value.
It was then relisted without a "Buy It Now" option, and the starting price was face value, so every bid would've generated a profit for the seller.
It was 1 ticket

Thanks for that. I guess they're in strife then. Ah well.
I'm not defending or attacking anyone here, but then we get the grey area...
What if i buy a pair and sell one (at face) to a friend who is not a 10c member? My wife and stepson are not members but have used my spare ticket. My best mate is not a member but he would gladly buy my ticket. Of course, these are 'my invited guests' and thus 'members by proxy', but it does show that there is a little wiggle room depending on interpretation of the policy.
Or course, there are those who will say - there is is in black and white "NO SELLING OF TICKETS", but as we see, there are instances when 'selling' is OK depending on the circumstances.
I was recently offered $500 each for my two 10C tickets to see EV. While I refused the offer, that's some serious coin and someone who needs money may jump at. It would be scalping plain and simple and totally wrong and against 10 Club rules - and I'd expect to be kicked out of the 10C if I were to di that but were exactly is the line in the sand drawn when someone asks face for their spare in a public manner?
Either way, I'm sure 10C are smart enough to look at the motivations and actions of a member is a mistake has been made or if something more sinister is at hand.
Well the fact we have someone stating they have brought ten club tickets from this eBay account for above face value in 2006 leads me to believe they have probably done it more then the 2 times we know about.
I think offering up spares here or to others is fine, but not on eBay or other type auction sites. Considering you aren't even allowed to link to eBay auctions here, wether it be your own or someone elses. and not just for tickets but any eBay link makes me think ten club would also have a problem with spares being sold for even face on ebay.
I can't see a problem with a buy it now at face only. But she's listed it at 120 to cover ebays fees. However, for the sake of 10 bucks, I can't see why you'd risk having your 10c benefits revoked.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.
Might this thread get locked if we keep debating 10c's no on-selling of tickets policy?
Doubt it, it was un-stickied yesterday or the day before, well after this debate started and after the person was named. If it was gonna get locked my guess is it would have been after that.

Ah cool, cheers, was just a thought. I guess 10c's contacted her(?) & done their thing then.
Anyway.... back to talking about the tour eh?

Who wants to give me a ticket to any of the Brisbane shows? Front five rows preferred.
Keep trying every day mate. Late tickets will come.
Ha, yeah, next week I may even accept first 10 rows.
Are you coming to Brisbane?
